It can happen, it has hit us now. We have been playing a lot of games in a short space of time which doesn't help. I am not worried, we just need to lift. Lets see how Roma go against Genoa now.
We are lucky they are playing a strong Genoa team at home, but I just can't see them throwing away a second chance in a row to close the gap.

Ogbonna contained Okaka very well and without his strength the Sampdoria giant could have easily scored. Marchisio played well for what? 25 minutes? After that he was just chasing the ball. His set pieces after that corner were beyond average for a school boy.
True, but he did kept the central midfield tidy, and did okay in distributing.

If only he was more vocal. We kinda needed a player that told Vidal how shit he was and to man the fuck up. Cant expect Buffon to run 80 meters to do that

If we don't seriously change the way we play in attack we're not winning the Scudetto. Which in all honesty might be fine in the long run as now we even struggle to break open nobodies in Serie A so we'll hopefully buy some genuine quality in attack.

Also even though I never want 3-5-cancer back, I did say a long time ago 4-3-1-2 is disgustingly narrow and it shows, the space wide players get against us especially on the break is just insane. As we have no wingers tracking back obviously and our full backs end up going as fucking high up as our strikers leaving a chasm of free space.

FUCKKK THIS SHIT!

Our attack looks really bad the past 4 games.
It's not acceptable that we dominate the match, control everything(especially first half) but can't fucking score.
And keep on messing with all the chances, the last pass/shot is horrible.

Fuck this,we need to wake up.

:xfinger: for Genoa today.

They didn't score from wing play, and this was again due to wasted chances. We need to kill the games off. We destroyed them first half, and let them come back inthe second.

True.
But nothing we can do about it, we have no wingers in our team.
That's how this 3-5-2 bull all started.. 3 years later- no change.

As we never addressed first team issues in the Summer, we still lack 3 things any top team has and has in abundance

Width. Bored of seeing full backs make or break our attacking play.

Pace. Our fastest attackers are not ready to be relied upon, one is 18 and one is nowhere near a starter in Allegri's eyes.

CREATIVITY. We have none. Any half decent playmaker playing for us getting all this time in the oppositions half would have a great time. Sadly, we have a bunch of workhorses trying to play intricate passes and it's just shit.

If you could give an insight why don't we score on counters and breaks, while every other team on the planet do? It's not like we lack pace (minus Fernando). I assume we are schematically very spread-out, we don't like playing in little space. Looking at other teams, their strikers are like 20-30m from defensive line, which gives them compactness, we lack that I assume.

Allegri has been making subs at the 55th and 60th minute all season, but was later with it today

So i guess your rant was wrong at the very point.
Subs in the 50th~ minute when you're 2+ goals ahead are a luxury and are expected.
I'm talking about games in which we were behind, or looking for a goal.

Doesn't change the fact we're not going to score multiple goals every game and if you want to hurt us all you need to do is focus on our flanks. They ignored Licht to begin with, made some simple tactical changes and we went from looking like we were going to pull a 7-0 again to being on the back foot. Because we're just ridiculously narrow.

Well partly down to pace, unless we're lucky enough to have Tevez on the ball who's not exactly a speed demon, we're stuck watching 6'3 Pogba and 6'5 slug Llorente 'bombing' down the pitch and teams can restructure easily in that time.

Also when Pirlo is in the side, our play is too slow and methodical to really break efficiently.

Last of all, we like to over complicate matters, countless times Pogba or Vidal etc in games hold on to the ball to long or wait for an inexplicably long time to release the ball and all it does is give the opposition a get out of jail free card.

I agree with the narrowness but the first half we could have had at least 2 goals, and it would have been different
