He played in a friendly on wednesday so I guess he'll be ready against Chelsea 1st leg. Could be ready against Doria but shouldn't be risked because we're so fucked if he gets injured again.
Two days ago Chiellini played 2/3 of the friendly match and reports say that he was doing very well. Even on juventus.com i read that he's fine and training together with the rest.

Legro is back in training after back pains in the past few days. The defender is in a battle with chiellini to play near Mellberg. In attack, Ranieri tried Del Piero and Trezeguet, but against sampdoria, next to the captain Amauri should start. In midfield Tiago seems to favourite to start, next to him Poulsen is slight favourite on Marchisio
Me, but I don't think it can work unless Camoranesi and Giovinco are in the team to stop us being too one dimensional (just booting long ball because we have big strikers).

I hope he'll start against Chelsea. There are 12 more days until that match. If he's expected to be on the bench, or even start the match, against Sampdoria, he should be 100% fit for Chelsea.
We played 3-5-2 Vs Napoli last season at our stadium (1-0) in the 1st half but Ranieri switched it back to 4-4-2 because it didn't work well. We played a good 2nd half, hence the 4-4-2 is the best for us and Ranieri is greatness.
