I wouldn't get to worked up over the Gio situation, at least Ferrara values him unlike Ranieri and he will get playing time with Juve in three competitions and all the injuries we pick. With DP so old now too he won't be able to start every match even when he is fit

I doubt Ale as an AMC or any of the attacking mid positions in the 4-2-3-1 is going to work. Ale is a support striker and he should be played there not forced into a position he fails at just to get him on the field and keep our best formation. IMO Ferrara has two choices, change the formation or bench DP.
I say keep the 4-2-3-1
