Roma actually surprised me, didn't expect them to make it hard for us.

But Spalleti realized they are shit, so decided to defend with 10 players, otherwise if they decided to play an open game the usual 4:0 would have happened especially considering who their CBs were.

We on the other hand were shit too, we were out of ideas how to break them until Pogba and Dybala happened.

I don't get why we were playing with both defensive fullbacks when Roma was not a threat at all.

Either Alex Sandro or Cuadrado must be on the field at all times.

Pretty much this. Although, like you said, it was less us playing shit and more spooling the contest with catenaccio and fouls all game. Some days it's hard to break down those teams, but we finally found a way past little Rometta and secured the win. Love it.
