I have a feeling Poulsen is starting the game alongside Zanetti. Btw, If Tiago's fit I would love to see him starting next to Zanetti. Anyway, Claudio has too many options to choose from in the middle.

This would be my formation

Buffon

Grygera - Legro - Chiellini - De Ceglie
Giovinco - Marchisio - Zanetti - Nedved

Amauri - Del Piero (C)
Great formation Rab, i would hate to see us with two DMs too...
I would prefer the DM/Zanetti to cover up for Giovinco lack of defensive coverage, swapping places with Marchisio in this scheme. Just to make this a little more balanced. Other than that, its a very good formation, able to overcome the Mutu-less Fiorentina in our home!

Is Chiellini officially available? Great news!!

Just read today morning that he will most likely make it on Saturday.

Surprisingly enough Marchionni has more assits than Nedved so he doesn't add much more in our team...Pavel lost it,he can cover a lot of have some passes but it's nothing to compare to what he use to give us.Ages cought him.

Giovinco never played there and we should not play him there IMO.He's support striker or he can play on Pavel's place and no where else.We would risk a lot to play him.It would be his first time and not to mention we are playing against Viola where we should not drop points. At least it's what I think.
Marchionni has only got a few assists because he has been taking our corners, which Del Piero could do instead.

Nedved still contributes more to our general play.

I didn't see that, but Gazzetta didn't include Chiellini in their predicted line up for the game.

I agree Nedved adds more but not much.I don't remember when he had some good matches

I'd put Marchionni on the bench right now if there was some good solution. But there isn't,no one can play there so he must start on the right side.De Ceglie would be wasted there.

It's either Giovinco or Nedved since it can't be Marchionni or Giovinco.

I would still start Nedved and Marchionni, but would bring on Giovinco early in the second half if he if needed.

hands down the line up should be something offensive..we need to attack..our squad was shit against lazio..to be honest..we missed grygera alot in that match..

so im opting for something like this

    buffon
mellberg-legro-chiellini(if fit)-grygera(i recall he plays as a lb)
    tiago-marchiso-poulsen-giovinco
    del piero-amauri

    or

    buffon
    mellberg-legro-chiellini-grygera
    tiago-marchiso-poulsen-nedved
    del piero-giovinco

They did in Juventus channel. Anyway, still early to say.

It's normal man, Marchionni attacks more is younger and faster. But Pavel is smarter and knows how to run the game more. And If we want to repeat old current players to what they used to be/were then there's no point of having them in the Squad.

And how can we tell If he can play there or not if he hasn't played yet? (btw, he has played two times) one time as a starter vs Bate the other time came on as a Subs in Serie A and was switching flanks Right and Left.

I say give him another shot on the right. He'll do just good. And I'm 200% sure that he'll find no difficulty to drag into the middle and score/create chances.

You are suggesting a RB at LB, a CB at RB, a CM at RM and an AM at LM?

Smarter and has more expiriense yes but he can cost us a lot.He was pretty bad this season and I think he should spend more time on a bench,if he can start Ranieri should have some balls to replace him during the game because many time he was awful and he subbed Marchionni for De Ceglie or something like that.He should not be our Maldini, where he still plays even at 40.

I didn't watch the one against Bate I think  but swiching sides is something else.He might be good, but we lets just say we didn't play him much there and we are playing against Fiorentina and not Sampdoria where we can take some risks. We can't lose points here and I'm not sure if it's a time to test him on the right. And I'm 98% sure that Ranieri won't give him a chance there.

Of course Giovinco can offer more, no argument concerning that... but I think we've had enough of Marchionni, Giovinco can play on the right and drag into the middle whenever he's giving chance.

Nedved was probably overrated vs Lazio but at least you have a guaranteed passes/crosses and doesn't loose the ball. Not as much as Marchionni.
With all due respect to Pavel, someone that has made me proud to be a Juventino often enough, on the contrary with Marchionni I dont like him one bit. BUT, why the sacrifice of Giovinco to the right, in a position he CANT excell in as he can in the left (his whole game is based on cutting in, he is neautralized in the right because he cant cut in as well), Just for Pavels sake? Just play Marchionni in the right, and Gio in the left. Sinple

And why I quoted that bolded part, REALLY Pavel gets way too much credit because he is a legend (or not credit, but deflection from warranted criticism), but apparently its enough for people that he hustles and runs hard for him to get compliments. He hardly does zip, but isnt scrutinized as much as Marchionni, even if both arent good enough starters. But its unfair on Marchionni to be called on things, and Pavel isnt. Your bolded part is the perfect example, Pavel does zip, and hasnt assisted a goal in ages (ok last was Reggina, but in overall, hardly assists), but people will probably save he is more useful then Marchionni, the same Marchionni who assisted our only goal last night, assisted twice against Atalanta, and in overall is our best assister with Ale.

I DONT want him to be a starter because he falls short in overall, and is severely inconsistent (very frustrating despite having the qualities to do better), but credits where its due, he IS more productive then Pavel. 3 assists in two recent games says that. So there isnt any argument for benching him for Pavels sake, in a sitaution that is unproductive because it would force our Creative weapon Giovinco to play in a position he suffers in, ALL for a very unproductive Pavel.

Thats EXACTLY what I meant, there are some that actually say things like Nedved is far better. Update your assessment of a player already. There are very few players Nedved is far better then at, these days.

Yes, you're right, and one of those few players is Marchionni, who stinks the pitch up worse than a herd of cattle.
