Of course you rate Conte over Allegri
5 CL campaigns, 3 group stage exits. Shittiest Cup coach in Europe. Remind me how Spurs did in Europe today, please. Lost to a Slovenian team no one has ever heard of. Conference league even too tough for Antonio. Apparently he can’t dine in 1 euro restaurant with 500 euros.
Was that meant to disprove anything I just said? It doesnt, so my point still stands. We were a shell of our pre-calciopoli selves until Conte managed to restore an identity to this club and bring back domestic success. Allegri merely inherited that winning momentum that was already set up for him and took it further. For what Conte managed to achieve with that team was nothing short of miraculous, and he has consistently shown that ability across different levels and countries- something Allegri hasn't done.
You keep bringing up european success but is that supposed to really mean anything? We're talking about getting 2/3 games further than conte in a competition. Beating the likes of a poor Dortmund team at the time and fricking Monaco isnt exactly remarkable. Conte on the other hand took the worst italian team in 50 years to the verge of almost knocking out the world champions in the quarters. Yes, allegri beat the likes of barca 3-0, but whilst simultaneously losing by 3 to Real in the same year. Thats why european football is just a lot of coincidences, like Allegri himself said. Look at Guardiola, took him 5 years with Man City before he even reached a semi final.
But no, keep telling me how "eUrOmAx" (who hasn't actually won anything in europe) is leagues above conte, after handing us our most humiliating defeat since 2004 and is currently sitting 8th in the league.
To be clear, I'm not taking anything away from what Allegri did in those years (his results as of late however have been unacceptable). But I think the Conte hate is largely unwarranted and only insisted on because of petty, childish reasons. There's no denying that what he achieved with this team is worthy of respect.
