By the way, Inters FK that was against Chielini is not FK (the one the Adriano converted in a goal). For god sakes he took the ball clearly. Even more he got a yellow??
The FK that recoba hit the post with it again, It was nedveds ball. It should've been FK for Juve. Thats how I saw it.
Great win!! Showed our worth. All played well. I am more than happy with Buffon's performance.
There is a ? over Inters goal, Samuel prevent Vieira from jumping!! Isn't that a foul?

:sigh: Mancini will never take the responsibility for anything. Looks like the tradition of losing at Inter is in safe hands then.

Cordoba? What a hacker. He has the finesse of a hippopotamus.

And if Figo wants to talk about scandals, he should look no further than his own immature storming off the pitch against England in Euro 2004. Loser.

Mancini slams 'diver' Nedved Sunday 12 February, 2006

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Roberto Mancini has accused Pavel Nedved of being a serial diver to earn the free kick that allowed Juventus to defeat Inter.

“After the equaliser we tried to pour forward and get all three points, but Alessandro Del Piero scored a great goal. Having said that, Nedved is a diver. He always throws himself on the ground and the referees fall for it. This is not up for debate, it was a simulation and he must earn about 10 free kicks per game like that.”

Ivan Cordoba brought down the Czech international for the decisive set-piece, as Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Walter Samuel had previously netted in Juve’s 2-1 victory at San Siro.

The Nerazzurri were also hit by an early injury to Juan Sebastian Veron, who was replaced by Kily Gonzalez.

“Juve certainly had a brighter start, as our objective was to win and therefore we were a little bit nervous, but we took more control as the game wore on. Veron is an important player and to lose him in the first half created a few more problems, but the team did well anyway,” explained Mancini.

“Adriano did what he was meant to, as he helps to hold up the ball for his teammates, but he was facing a fantastic defence today and they hardly left him any space. I was hoping Obafemi Martins could trouble them with his pace, but knew he didn’t have 90 minutes in him, while Luis Figo could cause problems for Federico Balzaretti in a role that he wasn’t accustomed to.”

Inter went unbeaten for 21 games in all competitions, but have now fallen to two consecutive defeats against Fiorentina and Juventus.

“Recently we have been creating opportunities, but it’s the finish that we’re having difficulty with. We aren’t as sharp or cynical as we should be,” added the Coach.

“We are in second place along with Milan right now and these two defeats have been tough to swallow, but we must get back on track next week against Livorno.”

There was a strange incident after the match when Dejan Stankovic closed the door to the players’ tunnel on the television cameras.

“There was a bit of an argument,” explained the Serb midfielder. “I know how these things can be misinterpreted, so I shut out the cameras, but it never got more heated than a verbal row. Juventus earned this victory, there’s no doubting it.”

Luis Figo was one of the angriest and made his feelings felt after the final whistle.

“This is an absolute scandal,” slammed the ex-Real Madrid man. “The whole world must see what happened today.”

Capello: Juve deserved it Sunday 12 February, 2006

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Fabio Capello and his men insist Inter can have no complaints about the 2-1 victory, even if they claim the Scudetto race is not over.

“We played well, were constantly dangerous and were always in the thick of the play. I doubt anyone can question that Juventus deserved the win. This game was open to any result, as these are quality sides who can turn a match at any moment. You can’t come to San Siro and defend, as sooner or later you will concede,” said the Juventus Coach.

The Nerazzurri thought they had taken the lead just before the break, but Adriano’s goal was disallowed because he scored straight from an indirect free kick.

“The referee clearly had his arm raised, so it was obviously an indirect free kick. We are taught this when we start football training in school,” noted Capello.

Alessandro Del Piero came off the bench again to make his mark with a potentially title-winning goal.

“I have the fortune to have players who accept my decisions because they know they are working for the good of the team.”

Juventus were without Gianluca Zambrotta and Jonathan Zebina, so Capello chose Federico Balzaretti and Giorgio Chiellini for this high-profile tie.

“I was still undecided on who to play at full-back this morning, but these two Italian youngsters – and I’d like to reiterate that they are home-grown – have character and can be the future of the Azzurri squad.”

The Bianconeri are now 12 points clear at the top of the table, but the former Real Madrid boss insists it’s not all over.

“We have a big advantage and earned that on the pitch, but if you look at what Roma are doing with nine consecutive wins, then anything is possible in this sport and we cannot celebrate until it’s mathematically certain.”

Zlatan Ibrahimovic opened the scoring by side-footing home Mauro Camoranesi’s cross before limping off with an injury.

“The title race is not over,” insisted the Swede. “Inter’s comeback is not impossible, even though we know we have won a very important match. I feel physically better now and am happy that my goal made a difference.”

Director General Luciano Moggi continued to rile the Nerazzurri with his season-long suggestions that Inter could only ever hope for a silver medal.

“Let’s just say that the best team won on the night,” he smiled. “It was utterly deserved and we showed that we are a solid squad who know what to do in every situation. I don’t think there was anything wrong with the refereeing today and any tension came before the game.”

Moggi also couldn’t resist another snipe at Inter after Milan caught them on 54 points.

“Inter are a quality side who are having a great season and I think they should be pleased with second place, but I fear their unhappiness with that scenario could see them lose that to Milan.”

My ratings are low? I thought I rated a few quite generously. 5.5 is still a decent score.

OK then! So this is it.

I remember the mood going into the Milan vs Juventus match with a few games to go last season, when, on 8th May 2005, we scored the only goal at the San Siro to win with a goal fittingly scored by David Trezeguet in the 28th minute that all but guaranteed our 28th Scudetti.

The match before that was a workmanlike though indifferent performance beating Bologna 2-1 at the Delle Alpi with goals from Cannavaro and Zalayeta in 18' & 24'.

That memorable night in Milan can be repeated again tonight. Capello will have the starting 11(6) fully prepared for this encounter. I remember the 2/10/05 clash when we came out 2-0 winners when our midfield played with authority and composure in terrible rain-soaked conditions.

With confidence and style we can take the three points tonight. Our defence needs to be 100%. Nevertheless, so does the Inter defence. It too, will be worried about leaving themselves exposed to the Juve counterattack.

Here's hoping to a fair and friendly encounter with JUVENTUS coming out on top.
Well, that was a great performance by the whole side tonight. So llike the night we beat Milan 0-1 in May 2005 to ensure Scudetto 28 was almost ours.

THURAM was immense tonight. Totally awesome performance.

ALE's free kick was simply spectacular.

Ditto the cross and score from Camo/Zlatan.

Finally, Capello's tactics were, as usual, flawless.

Juve fans travelling back tonight from Milan will be in raptures.

There will be a massive support at the next game in Messina next Sunday.

Figo is just angry because he can't win against juve.

(when he was in madrid he was disqualified from the CL two times...and now he is being "disquialified" in a way from the Scudetto)

hahah

Oooooh shut the Fvck up Mancini!!! If you used half of the time you talk in trainning your team they might have been better. You are a loser because you always whine. You never think that there were mistakes that have to be fixed.
For you only, Cordoba should've received atleast 2 yellow cars that show've been more than enough to take him out of the pitch. Both tacles against Nedved were serious. You are just a spoiled little brat. Go play some where else.
