An interesting article about both teams fans views of the match:
GOAL: First of all, how do you feel about your side’s campaign so far? Have you been delighted or dismayed by it?
Rohan (Inter): I’m somewhere in the middle of the two, as it’s clear that the team has made tremendous improvement under Roberto Mancini and are playing much better than in recent years, not to mention achieving results as well. But having said that, we still have some way to go as far as consistency is concerned. We also still have to attain that unique quality any championship winning team possesses (Juventus, Chelsea for example) which is to grind out a result even when we aren’t at our best.
Deven (Juve): I was and still am delighted by the way we are playing this season but seeing the way the last 5 weeks have gone, I’m a bit scared that there may be a dip in form and our 9 point lead (though very difficult for Inter) may vanish.
GOAL: Tactically, where do you think this match may be won or lost?
Rohan (Inter): Considering the stakes on hold, it won’t exactly be a 'beautiful game’ although Inter know that a win is imperative to have any chance of closing the gap at the top and just for that will have to take the game to Juve. Both team’s defences are equally strong and there isn’t much of a difference in quality in the other two departments as well, but I feel it will come down to the midfield. Cambiasso lost out to Vieira last time and he will have to make sure that doesn’t happen again. Also, Veron and Figo have to make their qualities count and create openings for the forwards and Adriano must get into scoring positions as often as he can.
Deven (Juve): As in any other match, I think this match will be a battle in the mid-field. Both sides’ mid-fields are very strong but I think in terms of quality, we have the edge. Vieira and Emerson are rock solid central mid-fielders and the creative play of Camoranesi is a bonus. And if Nedved has his night, there’s no stopping him. Having said that, Inter have a lot of options in their mid-field with the likes of Figo, Veron, Cambiasso. It’ll be interesting to see who Mancini will field.
GOAL: Which opposition player do you consider to be the greatest threat to your team in this clash?
Rohan (Inter): If he starts, then it would have to be a rejuvenated Del Piero. He looks to be getting back to the player he once was and the penalty miss against Parma midweek may make him all the more determined to be the show-stopper at the San Siro.
Deven (Juve): I would be tempted to say Adriano but I think it would have to be who I call the most under-rated striker playing in Europe, Julio Cruz. Records show he loves to score against us and I think he could get on the score-sheet this time too if our defenders don’t mark him well.
GOAL: Would you want him in your team?
Rohan (Inter): Who wouldn’t love to have a player like Pinturrichio in his side but it seems Moratti’s current policy is – NO ITALIANS in the team.
Deven (Juve): Not really. If we didn’t want a player like Cassano, I don’t think we’d want Cruz. Besides we have a lot of striking options.
GOAL: Who from your team should we keep a particular eye on here?
Rohan (Inter): Adriano. In spite of the fact that he hasn’t scored since the Cagliari match last month, he has been contributing immensely towards the team’s cause by putting his team-mates in scoring positions. But I back the Emperor one hundred per-cent to beat the great Buffon this Sunday. He always shows up for the big games, (ask Ancelotti, and Capello will remember last year’s San Siro showdown) and it doesn’t get any bigger than the Derby d’Italia.
Deven (Juve): Being a hard-core Del Piero fan, I’d love to say Alex. But seeing Ibra score at the weekend, Alex may not even make the starting line-up. So, I’d say to watch out for Trezegol. He’s a great finisher & he’s always hungry to score against the big guns.
GOAL: What are your side’s greatest strengths?
Rohan (Inter): We never give up.

disagree: ) Inter will play their game whether they are 1-0 up or 0-2 down. Also, Mancini’s shrewdness coupled with the team’s Latino flair make for a scintillating combination and I hope it will show this Sunday night.
Deven (Juve): Our greatest strength would be our ability to get results even when we’re not at our best. We can get the desired result whoever Capello sends out on the field. Very few other teams can do that.
GOAL: And weaknesses?
Rohan (Inter): The occasional lapses of concentration at crucial points in a match. This is what cost us dearly against Juve in Turin and also the other night against Fiorentina. We also need to recover our ground more quickly when we lose possession.
Deven (Juve): The lack of killer instinct and complacency. We seem happy when we lead 1-0 going into stoppage time and we rarely look to kill off a match.
GOAL: What do your lot typically think of their lot?
Rohan (Inter): We don’t think much of Juventus and that’s putting it mildly. We are a family of three brothers. My elder brother supports AC Milan, my youger brother is a Juve fan and I’m an Inter fan. But we are also fans of the Italian National Team. When my brothers don the Milan and Juve colours respectively, I look at them as rivals, but when the Azzurri take to the field, that’s where the rivalry ends. We do rag each other a lot especially when one of us has enjoyed a thumping win over the other, but it doesn’t lead to any Tom and Jerry kind of stuff.
Deven (Juve): Nothing much really.
GOAL: What single thing irritates you most about them?
Rohan (Inter): The Juventino arrogance and the way they often get the rub of the green as far as refereeing decisions are concerened.
Deven (Juve): I just hate it that this is one of the power-houses of Italy and there are no Italians in this team.
GOAL: And what do you grudgingly admire?
Rohan (Inter): Like I said earlier, their distinguished ability of getting the three points even when they aren’t in peak form as well as their compactness and unity as a team.
Deven (Juve): I admire their fans. Even though they haven’t won a Scudetto in 17 years, they still get a lot of support and that is really admirable.
GOAL: Who is your all-time number one hate figure (or object of amusement) from their lot?
Rohan (Inter): Let’s see, where do I begin, Trezeguet, Ibrahimovic, Vieira, and of course the psychotic Luciano Moggi.
Deven (Juve): In the past, it would be Ronaldo and Vieri. Right now I can’t pick any.
GOAL: What’s the best bit of business ever done between the two clubs?
Rohan (Inter): My brother will enjoy answering this one more than me as it is Juve who have often profited most notably from Moratti’s stupid decision to 'gift’ them Cannavaro in exchange for Carini-their third choice keeper who isn’t even at Inter right now. He (Moratti) clearly seems to have some dislike for his own people, doesn’t he?
Deven (Juve): I was waiting to answer this question. Our gift of the Italian captain Cannavaro in exchange for a goal-keeper who we considered third choice. I can’t believe Moratti would do something so foolish.
GOAL: What’s your fondest memory of past clashes against them?
Rohan (Inter): The 3-1 win in Turin two seasons ago. We were travelling to a place where we hadn’t triumphed at for 10 years and were fresh from an embarrassing 1-5 home defeat to Arsenal in the Champions League that same week. We surprised Juve who were also top of the table at the time and that defeat sent them spiralling downwards thereafter.
Deven (Juve): The 2-1 win at the San Siro 6 years ago, where Kovacevic was the hero. I also won’t be able to forget the 3-0 thrashing we gave them when they came to Turin in 2003.
GOAL: What do you think the score of this match will be, and how will it affect your week?
Rohan (Inter): I back Roberto Mancini and his boys to get things right this time round especially after the midweek hiccup at Florence. The team will also be aware that a win reduces the gap to 6 points and this along with Moggi’s arrogant and never-ending assertion that Inter should settle for second place should propel Zanetti and Co. to take the sword to the Bianconerri. 2-1 to us and it will wipe that sick grin off Moggi’s face and bring a more pleasant one to mine and all Nerazzurri fans. My week should be great but I’ll make
my brother’s miserable.
P dont tell me deven is your brother?)
Deven (Juve): I would love to be optimistic and say a win for us. But to get the 3 points, we really have to improve a lot. However, whatever the result may be it won’t spoil my week as we will still be on top and have a 6 point lead even if we lose. Having said that I also can’t see us losing so I would put my money on a draw.
