Pogba must be benched until he puts his head back into football, ever since he got the number 10 and it seems that he is only focused on showing off, brilliant player but could ruin his career with the wrong mentality.

And how do you suggest we win on tough away turf like Genoa?

With Padoin and debut-player like Lemina?

It ain't happening bro.

Anyone expecting a 360 degree turnaround off the back of the CL is fairly mistaken. We may win but this is not going to be an easy game by any means. The team is still a new set of players who will perhaps have another new starting line up against Genoa, and that never helps when playing in a domestic league against a more settled team. Their organisation will be hard to break down for a team still finding its own movement and dynamic. I would go with a solid performance from our end and a little more confidence, but I don't see us dominate the game inside out like we would imagine. It will happen eventually, but still see us struggle a bit to find our bearings. No matter what though, Cuadrado should play. A hard fought win is the result I'd go with here. Anger and hunger will bring it home.

Great point. Also, Genoa are strong at home and they won't risk a lot for a win, much more likely they will sit a bit back and look to counter us and then put high pressure in shorter periods of time. The pressure is on us here, we need a win by all means, and we need a convincing perfomance, and they will know that we have to take more and more risks as time goes, as long as we don't have the lead.
I'm not to sure about how well settled they are though, lost some important players during the summer, but off course they have had less fuss about them and more time to implement new guys

We have always difficulties against them.Doesn't matter if we play at home or away. It's will be a very hard match as we desperately need three points. Also we have yet to show our display at Serie A.

Gasps Genoa at home at least tries to play football, so there will be some space to operate. We need to win, no matter how, just get 3 points.

Always a tricky game but we need a win. Must score early.
Scoring early will be the key. Last year we had the players who had the nerves and experience to know that if a game is close and you are superior, 90% of the times you can close it in the last 15 minutes when fatigue increases, especially for those defending. This year the younger lads don't have that composure that Pirlo or Tevez had. They will get there eventually ... but this is the reason why I would always have someone like Mandu on the pitch in the last 15 minutes

Get Grygera back for this game only.

Buffon
Grygera - Bonu - Giorgio - Alex Sandro
Cuadrado - Hernanes - Pogba
Pereyra
Dybala - Morata

Yet he started for us yesterday and was one of the better players. I watched the game a second time and you really appreciate the defensive work he puts in that you might've missed live. He is an animal and his play in second half was amazing. Yes he is a bit limited offensively but he is still young. Gattuso wasn't known for any technical skills either but still managed to be a legend.

And let's not forget what he did vs Real Madrid last year. He stepped up and saved everyone's ass. He is more than good enough.
:agree:

Although I could only watch the second half against city, I think Sturaro was one of our best players. He made a couple of key tackles to stop city attacks.

He was by far our worst player in the first half and although he did well defensively he was still our weakest link overall. Much better second half but still not good enough in possession.
