Genoa Vs Juventus
Luigi Ferraris | 16th September 2012 | Game Week 3 | 14:00 GMT

Referee: Gianluca Rocchi

Juventus, after beating Parma and Udinese on Game Week 1 and 2, are ready to play Genoa (who won Cagliari at home for 2-0 and lost to Catania, away, last Sunday, for 3-2), at Genova's own, Stadio Luigi Ferraris.
Lúcio returns from a twisted ankle and for the first time, Nicklas Bendtner, Mauricio Isla and Rubinho, all Juventus Summer signings, will be available for Massimo Carrera options, who, also, will surely consider that Wednesday Juventus will play Chelsea in London for the Champions League.
This match will be special for Ciro Immobile, Genoa's striker, who will face his beloved and previous team, Juventus. Immobile has played the two game weeks and scored one goal, against Cagliari, in 180 minutes played.

Squad list for the game.
Keepers - (1) Gigi Buffon, (30) Marco Storari and (34) Rubinho;
Defenders - (2) Lúcio, (3) Chiellini, (4) Martin Cáceres, (11) Paolo De Ceglie, (15) Andrea Barzagli, (19) Bonucci and (26) Lichtsteiner;
Midfielders - (6) Pogba, (8) Marchisio, (21) Andrea Pirlo, (22) Asamoah, (23) Arturo Vidal, (24) Giaccherini; (33) Mauricio Isla and (39)Luca Marrone;
Wingers / Forwards - (9) Vucinic; (12) Giovinco; (17) Nicklas Bendtner; (27) Quagliarella and (32) Matri.

Massimo Carrera's Word.
"This game is every bit as crucial as Chelsea (...) We are facing a difficult side in a fiery atmosphere like Marassi. Plus, when Juventus come to town there is always a surge in motivation and determination from our opponents."
"We have to fight them on the same level with that degree of passion. Don’t forget last season Genoa took points off us both home and away."
About Chelsea game on Wednesday: “Squad rotation is the wrong term, because we do not have first choice picks and reserves. Every time we will put out the side that can give us the best guarantees (...) It’s important for a player to step on to the pitch, regardless of the opponent or whether it’s the Champions League or Serie A."
"Fortunately we have options to choose from. Lucio has recovered, so has Nicklas Bendtner, while Mauricio Isla played 76 minutes with Chile and is available (...) Will Andrea Pirlo be rested? He is a champion and knows how to deal with his energy levels."

Is Juve the only team who is playing in CHL and has a game on Sunday? City, Man Utd, Chelsea, arsenal, bayern, dortmund Psg, bbilan, barca, real, valencia, are all playing today!

I don't remember where in the forum, but last night I made 1 or 2 drunk post 'bout Immobile. I'd like to see him score, after we score 3 and IF Gigi isn't playing.

What's up with this obsession on Bendtner, Joe?
I'm usually sarcastic when it comes to Bendtner but as of now, I don't rate Quagliarella at all. He is in a total slump. Matri is inconsistent, so if he's not playing up to standards I hope to see Bendtner given a chance.

I think Bendtner can be a useful player in the box. Giovinco - Vucinic is my preferred attack though.

I'd start with this:

Buffon
Barzagli Bonucci Chiellini
Licht Vidal Pirlo Marchisio Asamoah
Vucinic Giovinco

And if we're winning in the second half, replace Licht with Isla, Pogba for Pirlo and Giaccherini for Marchisio with Asamoah moving next to Pirlo in the center.

Our midfield needs the rest the most.
I agree, start with that. It's the beginning of the season, all these players should be fine. Would look to rest when an easier run of games approaches.

Fvck FIGC! It's just getting ridiculous. :andy2: It's like they're purposefully trying to make it harder for Juve at every chance they get.
Every motherfvckin big team plays on Saturday except for us :sergio:

Yeah why the fuck are we playing tomorrow while Chelsea already played today??
Because you don't get games moved when the midweek fixture is on the Wednesday.

Therefore Chelsea played at the classic English kickoff time on Saturday afternoon and Juve played at the classic Italian kickoff time on Sunday afternoon.

And if Juve had played today you can be sure there would have been someone saying, "Fuck the FIGC for giving Juve's international players so little time to recover for the game against Genoa. I bet this is done because Preziosi is mates with Galliani."

Really?! So ALL the big teams in the whole goddamn europe are having their games at their classic kickoff time on Saturday and not even one of them could've had their game at Sunday,except for Juve? yeah right I don't see no pattern there about their schedules for this week.
So we couldn't have our game at the classic Italian kickoff time on Saturday afternoon (17:00)? instead it must have been the mighty palermo vs. cagliari right?
