FI reporting that. Vidal, Giovinco, Asamoah and Chiellini will be rested. Matri, Caceres expected to start.
That sounds great. Hopefully Pirlo and Marchisio get subbed off at the 45-60min. They need rest too.

Same goes for Vucinic.

Chiellini didnt play vs Malta, would be strange if he is on the bench...he needs match fitness.
I have a feeling Barzagli will be benched, because Caceres prefers and is more ideal as a RCB. However, Barz or Chiellini rested is good IMO.

This is going to be a very tough game for us. Our recent results against Genoa are far from good and they always manage to play their best game of the season against us. This could end up in a draw.

Yeah, Genoa are Milan B. Preziosi has to take some points away from us or else Galliani will cock slap him.

Sky says Caceres and Isla are not fully fit so they can't start the game. On the other hand, Lucio is recovered and may start replacing Barzagli.

Marchisio and Pirlo are definitely playing. Vidal is probably going to be rested for Giaccherini and De Ceglie will take Asamoah's on the left. Matri and Vucinic upfront.

Buffon - Lucio, Bonucci, Chiellini - Litch, Pirlo, Marchisio, Giaccherini, De Ceglie; Vucinic, Matri.

I don't really like this. Lucio is a liability, De Ceglie is not very trustable, Gio could play and Marchisio or Pirlo should rest.

Rest everyone. In the long run this game means nothing compared to Chelsea. It's not just the first game back in CL but it's against the champs on the road. We want to be at full strength and smash them to show Europe what's up!

It's certainly going to be interesting seeing how Conte handles the squad through tough runs like this, as it's something he has no real experience of.

One of the great imponderables trying to predict what would happen this season.

Hard to comment on the players he's looking at resting, since I don't know what sort of shape they are in, but away to Genoa is a tough game to try and rest players in.

I'd be keeping the rotation to a minimum for this game and trying to force things through until next weekend, when players can be rested at home against Chievo - a comparatively easy fixture.

I beg to differ, just check our last results against Chievo.

It's an easier game than away to Genoa, in my book.

Genoa aren't going to be the joke team they've been for the last couple of seasons this year.

Chievo are just reasonably solid, so it's all about Juve that game.

As I recall, the home game against Chievo may have been Conte's worst game of the whole season, looking at the starting XI, system and changes during the game.

they wont rest that many players, its bull$#@!.
Genoa it's not an easy team. That I know for sure. If the we start with reported lineup, then a draw or a loss it's very possible. I don't want to see fuccking Napoli going on top of the table. I wouldn't mind Lazio, though!
