Actually, when Zebina got injured against Liverpool, Montero had to come on and Thuram took the right-back position

I'd rather have Pessotto or Birindelli in the lineup than have the disastrous Montero at CB and nullify Thuram's effectiveness alongside Cannavaro

birindelli will. why pessotto? he makes a great performance against liverpool in CENTRAL MIDFIELD, so he must start at full back?!

he only played in central midfield because he can cover area well and would do better than blasi. he did ana amazing job its true its true, but he still is not FAST ENOUGH for full back, especially when you got those stupid liverpool wingers there. i dont even want to know their names theyre so stupid.

birindelli is FAST and should play against la viola today so he has some match fitness ebfore the game. even then if he hasnt played enough he can be subbe doff for pessotto the one man midfield.
