Your source is an englsh speaking website or newspaper. The interview was made in italian. They took the part when Del Piero said that Capello was not the one to thank for the Scudetto.
The italian interview that was posted a day afterwards reviield that DP said what I just stated. He, as well as Cannavaro, said that its not only Capello who has done it. It took a whole team to acheive what Juventus has acheived last year.

I will not hide it I am a Del Piero fan. But before that I am a Juventus fan. I've been a Juventus fan before DP joined Juve, precisely late 80s. And I will continue to be a Juve fan after Del Piero leaves or retires.
