Thread name: "[Serie A] Empoli vs. Juventus" NoT "Del Piero V Zlatan"..
Just to make a point:
Capello is a great coach, a winner. Its not right to start judging him before just from one watch. Del Piero did not play, so what. He might play the match against Empoli if capello goes with the turn-over. Unfortunately he won't, he got injured.
Capello has a great forwards lineup. It will be an aweful waste if he neglect any of the the 5. They should all have equal share of play time to keep them all in good condition incase of injuries and for the sake of long season work load + world cup afterwards.
Capello sees alot in Zlatan, and personally I can see what he is coming from. Zlatan is a great talent. He is in his early 20s and has all the physical abilities to become the best forward in the world. What he needs to work on more is his mentality. Personally, I think if Capello wants Zlatan to be greatest forward ever he should let him work with Del Piero. Del Piero might have the best professional mentality around these days.
Del Piero is getting older, but that doesn't mean he is useless, for what its worth he was Juve's seasonal top scorer last season.
What was sad last season that Del Piero was substituted many times on which on various occassions it was not justified. This caused tension between the fans and maybe even between them both. The media made a big fuss about it. Never the less, Despite 25+ substitution over the seaon Del Piero proved himself by scoring 17 goals (14 serie A, 2 CL and 1 CL qualifications). He was unfortunate early season by his injury, but when he was back he helped juve, as always, lift of the scudetto cup. Saying that he was crap last season is plain bullshit.
We had other forwards, Ibrahimovic, Trezeguet and Zalayata, All were decisive. Although I would have chosen Cannavaro, Ibrahimovic was awarded Juves player of the season. Something he did deserve. He has put hard work to get such an award. Saying that he was the most valuable player of the season does not mean that the rest are trash. Not at all.
The sad thing is that during the Cheivo match (although I did not see the match I will take the wards of the review for it) Zlatan was selfish and delayed play alot then he was not substiuted.. Never the less, sometimes coaches prefer such things to happen so they can give a ward shower of words to the player inside the dressing room or during the trainning.
Del Piero performed well during the preseason, by scoring alot of goals though he did not play as much as player like Trezeguet or Ibrahimovic. So noone can say that he is less than Zlatan or Trezeguet. And about NT presentation, when DP was called for NT he played well and assisted the goal. Scoring is not everything in football.
I will not judge Capello after just one match of the new season, a match that we actually won. But in his shoes, I would not hesitate on performing the turn-over. This way you will have by the last 1/4 of the season 5 strikers on a very good health ready to kick any european or local butt

We don't have a striker that is better than the other.. All 5 are terrific so just stop this childish behaviours. Del Piero is Juve's Captain, Zlatan is Juve's player and Capello is Juve's coach whether you like it or not.
If he is wearing the Juve jearsey I will cheer for him and support him from the bottom of my heart till I die.
I am a Del Piero fan, and I believe in him. I feel secure just to see him on the pitch because I know he is one of the greatest players around and one of the greatest forwards in Italy and maybe in europe. Thats my opinion. I would like him to play as much as possible because I enjoys every single touch he makes. His football mentality is broad and endless.
Peace dudes...
