Dude, I know were all amped up and excited to see a different formation this season, but with injuries/flu situation that hit the squad lately and some key players unavailable, I think using the Serie A tried and tested 3-5-2 for this game is a smart decision. I was seriously sweating over the thought of a Bonucci-Ogbonna CB partnership in a back four. I'm a bit uncertain on how the Coman/Tevez partnership will turn out for this game, but at the same time I am quite excited to see KC start. Hopefully he puts in a strong performance.

Win, lose or draw I am looking forward to coming on Tuz a while after and reading about 50 pages of in-depth discussion about how good/bad Allegri is based on this one solitary game with half our team missing.

Fuck performances, flair and fancy etc, with half our team missing, a new manager, a bit of an interrupted pre-season (we done more flying than playing it seemed), the important thing is to lay down an early marker and start with a win. Chievo might be a crap team, but they are no mugs, and will make it difficult for us like they always do at this shit heap of a stadium.

Yep, I'd take the scrappiest win possible right now. An early goal for us will mean the World. Chievo with their players being forced to meet us half way and not spend the entire game in touching distance of their fucking GK will be no match for even this Juve line up.

If we're 70 minutes in and still not winning, we have a problem as we have nobody to bring on really. Best bet would be to go down the sides and put some crosses in but Llorente and Morata are out so we are stuck with midgets.


I think we'll win, I doubt it'll be pretty.

No, we don't. Which is why I have no problem starting Coman over Giovinco today. At least Coman may or may not be a good choice. We know Giovinco in a 3-5-2 against a team like Chievo is a tried and tested failure.
