I didnt like the way we played. I saw nothing new and fresh in this team. Same old, slow, boring build-up play. Im guessing Allegri didnt want to change things up the first game cause it was a very important game to win. Bottom line, it was Conte's Juve and Conte's style of play. Nothing new.

Im guessing Allegri will change things up as the season progresses and when he will have a full squad. He better. 3-5-2 and the way we are playing and have been playing is getting on my nerves.
Really???

But surely we have some leftover from last season??
:D

Seriously though, I liked our tempo and how we committed players forward on counters in the first 60 minutes of the game. After that we were a bit more measured, and it wasn't just tactical. Vidal was obviously blowing a bit and Coman also tired, so maybe the energy jokes from last season are not a complete comedy.

Coman and pogba played different positions in their juve debut. So don't bother comparing. I believe pogba played in the midfield on his debut and had to deal with tackles and defence and ball retention. Why not compare buffons debut game and llorentes debut game and say who is better?
I have allready said that in my post so you add nothing

we played attacking football. our movements and team play looked good, considering it's first match.

typical juventus though. create tons of chances and miss them all. coman looked great. he was ivolved in a lot of attacking play. pogba, vidal and casper were solid. pogba monster of the match, and vidal looks pretty good considering he isnt a 100 fit.

ogbonna and bonucci are serie b level. you can not trust them at all

Then why did you have to mention it?
Extremely simple.

Pogba was impressing on his debute, but only for the educated eye that looks for suptile things.

Coman however, whilst doing that, also showed alot of stuff Pogba didnt show the first months. The insane dribbel Pogba did and then lay off for marchisio's shot ? that brilliance is something he didnt immediatly do

But i think everyone can remember Coman dribbeling geniusly between 2 players and shoot a screamer that skimmed the post.

I'm nuancating the more impressive debut by Coman, but even after that, it was still a more impressive debut

Let me give you an attempt you'll probably wont read. I think X will agree tho.

We played with a crushing mentality and surged forward. We were attempting much quick short passes and tried plenty of combinations.
because Chievo isnt that good, this led to quite a bit of chances, but at the same time, we lost the ball quite often aswel

The team has clear idea's but isnt quite played in at this new style and needs more time for that

Buffon had to make 1 save and it was the most brilliant save in quite a while.

Bonucci was not good, Ogbonna made horrible mistakes.
Marchisio was good at CDM and while adding little offensively, Pogba and Vidal got alot of creative freedom as a result

Asamoah was okay, but lichtsteiner was a monster and created like half of the chances we had. he seemed very good in this new playstyle.

Coman had a delightfull debute. The first half is mandatory for you to watch Coman cause it was a revelation.

Tevez was above okay, but terribly wastefull

Promising start, but needs work.

The game should have been done and dusted should the post and crossbar been that bit smaller :D
Knowing the game was only 1-0 I think also at that time we didn't wanna commit our players to push further for a potential sucker punch from the flying donkeys. Also as you said, it's our first competitive game, so tired legs is a major issue.
