we lacked pace today when attacking without iaquinta, Ned DP and Trez are just not fast enough on the break, which is what we had to resort to today. almiron and zanetti were both poor as well, they failed to stamp their authority and we were dominated in the middle of the park. we have a lot to work on.

having said that we should have won 3-0 as the ref had a stinker and those penalties were ridiculous decisions

do you tink that somebody from the "honest" ones will talk about the unjust penelties
in match reports that i've read they haven't even mentioned the penalties were dubious, its ridiculous that teams that play us get away woth murder but if we get an unjust penalty we have fixed the match :disagree:

your allowed to make bad decisions if juve dont gain an advantage in italy, you only get punised if you make a decision in juve's favour

I think Juventus really could've used a player like Iaquinta today, especially since there wasn't much movement going on up front. Unfortunately, he had the whole stomach issue to prevent him from scoring another brace. :p
Blasphemy :D

I have been interested in Foggia since 2 season ago.

if i'm not mistaken, i heard that he is ac milan youth product.
he has that awesome dribbling skill. now i see him owned us today.

if he is in our side we will win this match easily.
all of cagliari attack is set up by him. his pass, his dribble,cross...

i think he is the MoM for this match.

about our defence today, i am understand why CR change Criscito with Leggro.
because of his physic presence to mark Cagliari player that have good physic/height. we re suffer in first half when they cross the ball and no one jump to get that ball first.

i think we need another defender that has strength and height to give us the feel of safety in defence.

As I said before, We lack experience in defence and we will pay for it against bigger teams. We are well in midfield and attack but our defence is not. IMO.

Those who were against Canna return will be undrestand it.

um, what was that :D

I dont even know if call us lucky or not.

One of the penaltys looked harsh.

Criscito might not have had the best of games but legro was terrible. He could have gotten sent off today beside zebi.

Oh and as much as i shouldnt question that, but that foul on del piero :howler: is moggi still around. ( i dont want to have a unpleasant surprise in the end of the season if juve will be demoted again :nervous:)

I guess the ref might have felt he made a mistake on the penalty, but then he should not have given it in the first place.

i dont think the moggi factor is still ON here.

The referee is wrong since the first.
He always tries to fixed his bad decision with another bad decision.

1st goal for trezegoal. Trez is not off side. but Del piero is stand in offside postion but DP raised his hand give sign he is invisible in that action.

the ref think he is give a little advantage.

then he give the penalty for cagliari. all of his decision is related till the end of the game.

red card for zebina, than red card for del grosso to equalise. this ref always try to balanced the situation.

Actually Foggia is fully owned by Lazio as part of the Oddo deal. I wonder why Lazio loaned him out to Cagliari, and he is one of the players I really wanted.

And Buffon saved our asses again, no wonder he is the best goalkeeper in the world
Thanks for the info. I never knew it was a full transfer. I am somewhat mixed by this news. If Foggia was totally owned by Milan, we would not have any chance of getting him, but with Lazio, I am sure Lottio will listen to big dollars. However, Lottio has made a quite big reputation of being a hard person to drive negotiation. And you know in terms of deals involved he ripped off every player you can think of. I sure hope his selling qualities arent as good as his buying skills.

On Foggia, I totally agree. The guy has so much to offer. Dribbling, movement, and best of all, he can score. I have seen him play for Ascoli, and Reggina couple of times, but he seems to have improved over preseason, because I never remember him being this good for 90mins.

Lastly on midfield, I think we should try out Almiron and Tiago as you suggested in other thread. I am totally convinced that this team is best at playing 4-3-3. 4-4-2 is just too rigid system, and we havent got enough penetration in this team to make it work against good competition. Almiron is needed for his distribution. So for me he is untouchable for now. Zanetti just about gets nod for his defensive positioning. But he is very poor passer of the ball, so I think having Tiago might benefit the balance of the team. And I think Nedved should get a break next game, and try Camo trequarsista role. Camo seems to be on fire, so let him give maximum freedom.

Yeah, I don't miss Moggi alright...

I really wonder how we're going to hold the likes of Roma under 5 goals against us. This defense looks like a repeat of the 2003-2004 season.

what a second half! but what a horrible performance from Juve. We looked tired and were ripped apart down the left.

I think Camo coming on made a huge difference and won the match for us. I like Sali but he should be our right back not right mid. He just doesnt offer enough going forward. We also lack pace, we really to strengthen our counter attacks, we had a number of opportunities but just didnt have the pace to cause any real problems.

as for the ref, this guy was ridiculous!!i have never seen such a bad ref, so many needless yellow cards and bizzare calls on 'fouls'. He seemed determined to give them penalties.
The 1st one was never a penalty, the cagliari forward was clearly backing into Legro.
The chiellini challenge was superb and i couldnt believe that he had called a foul. The zebina one was more dubious, i have seen them given and seen them overlooked, the forward was holding onto zebina too. if he gives that one he has to be consistent and give them when juve players are being held in the opposition area. But we know that unfotunatly Juve will always lose out on 50/50 decisions.

I thought Almiron was dissapointing and i know we have to give him time to settle but he keeps giving the ball away with stupid passes. I am starting to worry about him. i think Andrade looks good at the back, he made some crucial interceptions and nothing really got passed him.

The stars for me were Zanetti and Chiellini. IMO they both were excellent against Livorno and were superb again today. i am so glad we kept Chiellini, if he can keep his cool (with a little help from Buffon) then i think that he can go on to have a great career at Juve.

You're thinking along the lines of?

Tiago Almiron Zanetti
___Camoranesi
__Trezeguet Del Piero

I like it. Although I think it was just a one off for Nedved today, he'll be more sharp the next game. Besides, he has a one week break anyway, with him not playing any international game next week.
