This isn't little risky, it's a big risk. You completely change the formation and you put 3 midfielders against a 5 men Bologna midfield.
Also, your right side is consisted of a CB and CM. Since we have Mellberg playing RB, we must play with a winger on the right side of the midfield.

He can't be rested. Del Piero is rested. We can't rest both of them unfortunately. He should be rested no doubt, but our current situation (from injuries to our current position in Serie A) doesn't really look like Nedved should be rested.

It's a risk, but we don't have too many options.

Absolutely, although i'd prefer us to start with Gio-Nedved-Sissoko-Marchionni in midfield. But if Ranieri wants Nedved on the left side, then Tiago should be Sissoko's CM partner, not Ekdal.
