Like I said in the live thread... Forget the formations, forget the score... The fact that Chiellini and Buffon look shaky scares the shit out of me...

Very good result (special thanks goes to Siena, and I am hoping to send some thanx to Bari as well later on).

It is very very clear that Zaccharoni thinks the world of Del Piero. You cannot blame the guy really :D . Taking of Diego and Marchisio was gutsy to say the least.

We were lucky in many occasions but it was not just luck that won us the game tonight. We are improving and winning. I won't complain alot. Lets enjoy the win and fourth place.

The aim now is to achieve 3rd place.

One more unconvincing win, but another win nonetheless!
Less ref help this time though and more promising things on the field!
DP is the turning point IMO, Melo has improved a lot and was quite good, but DP is the one who made the difference in our last games, esp his creative play.

Of course it wouldnt happen without the support of Melo, Diego and DC, but even when the rest of our team was quite content, we were always missing our steps up front! DP's aspirations was what we needed the most!

We have momentum and you can see that in the faces of many of our players and by the way they move on the field!

a win is a win and thats what matters. Towards the end there we were really hanging on, but for a change the defence held tight and we didnt give much up to them, although if that header wouldn't have been straight at gigi we could be having a different conversation.

Del Piero rolled back the years again and Melo had one of his best Juve games, he looked rock solid all game and only misplaced a few passes. Marchisio and Diego had a good game also, shame Diego in particular didnt get to finish it, but thankfully Candreva more than filled his boots.

Now the negatives. Sally was typically appauling, he was indecisive and offered nothing to the others, at any point in the game. Woeful showing for him. Lets just keep him on the bench. Buffon also looked a bit hesitant today, and wasn't giving the defenders shouts etc. I hope it was a one off

It reminded me of a Ranieri team, more compact but still looking shit scared on defence trying to hang onto a lead by sitting back against an inferior provincial side. Well, at least we got the win, I'll just take the points.

We looked good first half though, when we actually tried to play.

It wasn't gutsy, it was stupid. We only won thanks to Del Piero's magic. We shouldn't get fooled by the result. We could have easily lost the game.

Melo, my man of the match. Immerse in midfield and some flamboyant play from him. BTW, the commentator on the stream kept referring him as Philip Melo.

Salihamsandwich non-existent today; a really bad performance.

Glad for the three points, but you have to say that we won in spite of the tactics and overall performance of the team, much like the past couple matches. We were lucky Bologna were missing Di Vaio because he would have finished one of those chances, just like Floccari or Crespo would have taken their chances with Genoa last week. Del Piero saved us again through his spontaneous creativity to send Candreva in.

Nothing in the side inspires confidence. The midfield isn't clicking when we have the ball and still is beaten despite having Melo and Sissoko in the middle. We're still dodgy on the wings as seen today through the chances Raggi, Busce and then Salvio created, which makes sense considering how poor we played there against Ajax. So that problem was not addressed by Zach. And lastly, the defense from all angles is suspect, even Chiellini lately.

A draw would have been a fair result. The only real difference I see thus far after Ciro's reign is that we are now finishing our chances that have been created by Del Piero for the most part. When Ciro was in charge, Del Piero was injured for most of the time, so he couldn't save our asses. But thankfully for us he's back because looking at the tactics and choices Zach makes, we need somebody else to save our season. There is no way we'll continue getting points playing in such a horrendous fashion.

Buffon - 6
Grygera - 5.5
Legro - 5.5
Chiellini - 5
Brazzo - 4.5
Marchisio - 6
Melo - 7
DC - 5.5
Diego - 6.5
Del Piero - 6.5
Amauri - 6
Candreva - 6
Sissoko - NA

Not a convincing win, but who cares at this stage of the championship since we are desperately in need of points to secure our CL position. Entertainment isn't what we should be looking for but only 3points.

I admire Zach's courage and the subs he made. Good thing we managed to rest Diego, he needed it. I'm also glad Mauro played 5min, although not much but he it's good to see him back.

Melo was our best player today IMO, but Del Piero is the turning point, if we need to go on we need to have him at his best. He's our lethal weapon.

Buffon, Chiellini and our defenders were horrible today. Good thing Bologna didn't know how to take an advantage.

Buffon 5

Grygera 5
Legro 4.5
Chiellini 4.5

Brazzo 4.5
Melo 7:star:
Marchisio 5.5
De Ceglie 6.5

Diego 6.5

Del Piero 7 :delpiero:
Amauri 6

Sissoko 6
Candreva 6.5

I did not say it was smart or the right thing to do. It was practically asking Del Piero to take matters into his own hands.
