wow, I bet you're proud of yourself

tell me, how many good players do you think Secco will buy from all that money ?? I bet the answer is either zero, or he'll buy someone who we really dont need...
Yeah, we might even see an Amauri or Sissoko like signing. What a waste.

Let's just get rid of our sponsors as well. And stop charging money for seat tickets. Give the players twice their current wage. Not like we're going to do anything good with the money anyway with Secco in charge.

Let's also give up in all the tournaments we participate in. We're never going to win them anyway. Even if we just reach the final but lose, there's been no point in participating in first place.

You can't really claim that Vinman.
~8m from prize money and just as much from tv rights, tickets, advertising etc gives ~15-16m. That's not something you can underestimate. Together with the money we already have in our transfer budget it gives a nice amount.
I agree with you that we may end up with players we don't really need but the history of this board shows that in 2 of the 3 cases where they paid +10m for a player (Tiago, Sissoko, Amauri), they did well. Sissoko and Amauri are quality players, good enough to play in every big team in the world.
The CL money will allow us to buy 1 expensive player (that we weren't going to buy without the CL money) and there is no ground to claim that this player won't be great for us. On the contrary, in 66.6% of the cases when we made a big money transfer, we did great.

What did I put in your mouth? I based everything on your exact logic. It's science.

And yes, we've had our share of flops but that was never the point. What you said was that advancing from our group and giving Secco more money would be useless, but that is not the case. From time to time he's acquired top class players which means that your point is invalid.

I know that me and Jack used these lines more than anyone else here and we were joking about the pessimism of Vinny, Cron and Andy, but now even i find this joke boring and way too provokative.

Of course, i can't tell You guys to stop using it, it's your right to use it or not. I just wanted to share my thoughts regarding this :p

I think the problem here is how people tend to change with the wind.

If you're not a fan of Ranieri's tactics/formation/results he has achieved so far, thats part of the game and understandable... though I don't agree at all with Vinny, Andy and Cron and others concerning Juve's situation and Claudio since we are doing more than expected and we earned our respect back, at least on the pitch.

If you admire Ranieri's work/tactics/results he has achieved, then stick with it till at least the end of the season and never call for his head insult him from top to the low.

What is amusing anyway, is that people, too many actually have a different thinking/praise/criticism after EACH single match towards Ranieri. If we loose our next game, then Ranieri should be out. If we win then keep Ranieri. We're not in a market fellas. Either stick with the man or remain against him(though results doesn't suggest that).

I'm convinced that had we drew to Atalanta I'd be reading too many amusing things like in the past Ranieri threads that Snoop opened asking whether we should sack him or keep him, and you can tell reading posts there how people tend to change week by week.

If you base a reply on someone's inferred logic then you are basing the reply on opinion not science.

If one hates the methods of a manager, those that have not worked in the past, nobody can do anything about it. Like Rab stated, many people seem to flip flop on their opinions throughout the course of the season, which means that these people are simply a bunch of sheep. I will always be against the way Ranieri runs his teams, the way he "interacts" with the media, and just like I can't do anything about the way he fields the team, nobody else besides Ranieri can coerce my opinions to change.

It's strange how Jack can go around instigating all sorts of nonsense in various threads, but if it's someone such as Rab who merely responds to instigation, his powers are immediately taken away. I find it quite a load of tosh, but to be expected here at this place.

correct amundo, Andy.....these guys change their opinions like the wind, when we are doing well, they love Ranieri and co., but if were losing.....

Well that's fair enough Vin. When we were doing crap in October and players like Sissoko and Tiago weren't performing why wouldn't everyone think that this management sucked arse? Now we are doing well, topping our CL group and second in SerieA it's evident that management made good decisions, with good performances from Sissoko Tiago and Poulsen.
I agree the transfer campaign could have been handled much better, with CM and LB positions being ignored. But the management backed the players we had and we've reaped what they've sewed. The proof is in the pudding.
I just don't see how you can complain when we're in the position we're in. I think everyone who was shouting Ruinieri and Sucko have conceded they were wrong.
