Fair result, I think. This really could have gone either way.

I think we were actually better or more dangerous for large parts of the game. And we definitely should have scored earlier & more.
On the other hand, we could have been down to 10 men before half time & Atalanta forgot to make it 2-0 when they had the perfect chance.

Not losing this game was absolutely vital, so that late Danilo made this almost feel like a win to me.

Dybala & De Sciglio were great. De Ligt was pretty good as well.

mostly agree. rabiot 6 for me.

gds giving us a 7 should be an indication for the doomsday brigade that we weren't bad by any means. strikers failed us with their last passes and shots, we deserved more.
We also looked shaky in defense but that is almost always the case when Chiellini doesn't play.

There were three decisive things in this game:
- De Ligt blocking denying Atalanta scoring chances,
- referee not sending Szczesny away,
- our inability to convert chances, yet again
and yet again it seems that opposition goalkeepers is having game of his career. I dont really believe thats the case, the problem here is that we shoot in the way we help them do it.
Vlaho, when it comes to overall game, for me was very good - he could keep the ball and distribut it very well.
Now for the scoring:
- the long shot was his individual brillance, but probably should be saves,
- the one on one i believe he knew he was offside there,
- the situationial shoot after the corner, that was a good shoot, but it was also saveable, should shoot it closer to the post.
the headers he had - none of the crosses was really a pin point one, but he could do better.
Anyway, just look at how many situations this guy is generating. When we had Morata there he usually didnt even have one shoot on goal. Its apparent to see that this guy makes our attack click, because:
- he can cover the ball and win headers,
- has that pass to the wing which stretches the play and help us proceed with attack,
- is actually feared by opposition and makes place for other attackers.

Its also apparent how Morata thrives in that new role, he never wanted the responsibility he had as main attacker.
I think the biggest mistake of Allegri in that game was starting McKennie ahead of Zakaria, not really sure what happened with Denis, but Weston is such a liability when defending.

Before the goal i would say Danilo was worst on the pitch, but after that late header, not sure which one from Bonucci, Szczesny and Locatelli was a flop of the match. Hope Manuel can turn it around, we need in best shape.

Danilo was ok but Locatelli did flop in this one.
Woj? We should really get someone better...

MARELLI: ”#Szczesny's is not a red, but a yellow, out of recklessness. The hand of #DeLigt was not a penalty, the ball hits his side then goes on his arm.”

MARINO (Atalanta manager): “Luckily Marelli is not a ref anymore.”

He is trying to influence referees in the future. There was nothing wrong with yesterday`s game in terms of officiating.
Atalanta had chances and so did we.

As for Woj - We need a better GK

Day later I think that we can say that it is a moral victory, they will feel more disappointed with the result
I think they will be happy to get a draw given their injuries and form. Plus they have the head to head record in their favour too. Top 4 is in their hands now and they don't need any favours.

We can no longer say if we win every game we are guaranteed top 4. But we need to focus on whether we can get 2 more points than Atalanta over the remaing games. I would hope that given our form we will.

The good news is Atalanta, milan and Napoli still have to play each other+Atalanta will face Roma and Fiorentina away while still playing in the Europa League. We have an easier run and can -hopefully- win the next 5 Serie A games.

Last season we lost our confidence after champions League exit so hopefully we do the opposite this time around and progress into the quarter finals.

Yeah I think if we beat Torino at home and Empoli away (nervous about this one) and qualify over Villareal we'll have a great momentum that will carry us to 3rd place in the league, and if we avoid Bayern and Liverpool we can qualify to the semis even at the expense of City and Real Madrid/PSG. That's too optimistic I admit but doable if everything falls in place.

it truly was some below par refereeing:

that foul on de sciglio was especially criminal, and morata was kicked every single time he tried to touch the ball. just some terrible decisions all around.
And the irony is he gave Vlahovic yellow card for complaining against the wrestling employed by the Atlanta defenders.
