Injuries came as a blessing in disguise. The subs made the difference. It was to be expected, this team was(is) in dire need of a slight facelift. I reckon the minor injuries to Pepe and Marchisio in the coming weeks will also prove to be a blessing. It forces Conte to freshen things up a little and get the team sharp again. Underused players and some fit legs make all the difference. Look at De Ceglie's recent performances as another example.
About the game: Really good. Only 2 things bothered me: the lack of efficiency (again) & Vucinic' performance.
As for Alen's question: According to my averages so far (yes, I am that loser who keeps this in a spreadsheet) this is my top 5. Coppa included, only players who played regularly.
1) Barzagli (6,69)
2) Pepe (6,53)
3) Lichtsteiner (6,50)
4) Marchisio (6,47)
5) Buffon (6,25)
I am surprised as the rest of you by number 2 in that list. Would have picked Marchisio there if I hadn't looked it up.
Krasic has the lowest average so far. Followed by DP
