I would've kept Nedved on the field. He looked up for it today.
I totally agree but if Ranieri saw that a third sub was necessary, it should have been Tiago for Trezeguet. We had Nedved, Marchionni and Del Piero all there and all of them can score.

As everyone has already said, we could have won the game and here's how:

1- In such a game Del Piero should have started and Iaquinta should have replaced him NOT the other way around. Could you imagine what Iaquinta should have done with those lame defenders after they have been struggling all the 70 minutes?

2- Tiago should have replaced Salihamidzic, we needed someone in the middle to create havoc. Our play on the flank was not good.

3- Molinaro should not be allowed to touch the ball again, he can't pass, he can't receive, he can't cross and he made Nedved's job 10 times harder.

4- SHOULDN'T HAVE TAKEN NEDVED OFF THE PITCH!!!!!!!!!

I am very disappointed, we played like heroes but couldn't put the ball in the net and that was mainly because of the silly substitutions that Ranieri and partly because we let Milan kill the game for a big part in the second half.

One more thing, why is Kaka so much protected? Why is it that when someone has a physical contact with him the offender gets a yellow card?

A draw...well that was the logical and expected outcome,i bet some real (and virtual) cash on it...
Milan had no wins on their home field, why would they start now?
We had some important casualties, half of our defense and Camo, that would mean two 2 DMs at all times and not such a good paste and creativity.
Milan was a disaster so far, but they always manage to come back and attack the important matches, they will be always motivated against us, i didnt expected any less from them. The game started out well, the first 15' were fun to watch, good pace and open game, then the team started to guard their rear than focusing upfront, Milan took advantage of our weak flanks and tried a long term siege while we were trying some desperate long ball, counterattacks, witch Nesta managed to intercept singlehanded...The ref was just a bit pro-Milan and let them get away with a few fouls while booking our defenders when it wasnt quite necessary.
But he overall managed to control the game and not to accord any penalties, Gila and DP+Neddy tried their luck a few times and Kaka was brought down by a Juventino who was hanging on his pants. Kudos to the ref who said "shut up and play the ball"...this is how its supposed to be!

Personal ratings:

Buffon - Always present, many good saves 7.0

Zebina - solid at times but made a few serious errors, our flanks were dominated 5.5

Legrottaglie - A good day in the office, forward marking worked 6.0

Chiellini - Super solid, intercepted very crucial balls 6.5

Molinaro - Horrible, his contri at attack totally sucked and our left flank was totally dominated 4.5

Salihamidzic - not a bad game IMO, he isnt Camo but he wasnt bad today 6.0

Nocerino - Very good try by the Napoli fan,he added the guts such a game needs, but he didnt contributed enough to our build up, upfront though, Tiago would be very useful here... 7.1

Zanetti - quit but efficient work, did his job and tried to help upfront more than Nocerino, somehow though our midfield disappeared, these guys were helping our weak defense 6.9

Neddy - Omnipresent, another very good game, not like the previous one, but his form is rising again, unfortunately we cant win such games without the help of Neddy and Camo, i ve been saying this for 3 years and got confirmed one more time... 7.2

Iaquinta - Nothing special, he should come back and help the construction of our game more, i m sure he is able to do that (unlike Treze) a decent FK 5.5

Trezeguet - He had a few chances, he threatened Milan right from start by hitting their post, but he is a player who only flourishes after some certain circumstances, he was denied decent service, but still involved with the game more than he usually does 6.0

DP - erm...CR should sub him in earlier 5.5

Marchio - Someone said he will be play a key role for the rest of the game, well... he didnt, despite being rested, he tried though... 5.9

Palla - no time to shine, at least he didnt yell at DP this time;) 5.5

CR - ... hmm, he wanted not to lose, that was crystal clear, some key players let him no options to try a bold scheme, but he didnt reacted and didnt make any subs soon enough. We held an off form, but motivated, superior team at bay, a loss would personally harm him and the moral level of our team, he took no risk and we have now driven away from the direct CL positions, time will tell... 5.5

I don't know where we'd be w/o Sandro. Trez wasted 2 Golden opportunities to score and Milan we were fortunate to walk out with a draw. MOtM for me were Buffon for you guys and Sandro Nesta for us.

PS- I hate Zebina, the fucker.

PPS- Rino & Zanetti at the end,

Still we have to give him a credit for not giving penalties to Milan. The refs from Cagliari, Napoli, Parma and Fiorentina match would have given Milan two penalties if they were in Morganti's place.

Just saw the highlights. We are lucky to have Gigi but we had 3 great situations to score. Trezeguet hitting the post, Dida's superb save on Brazzo's great shot and then Del Piero making an extra move where he was clear to shot.
3 great oportunities is actually the maximum any team can expect to have at San Siro. We can't attack our guys for not creating enough. We were simply unlucky not to score from the chances we created.
Can't disagree there, I thought he did a good job.

let them overtake us it cuts the gap between us and inter plus it reduces there confidence. the title is handed out in may not tomorrow we will finish ahead of the viola we need inter to start losing and feeling the pressure as we know they are frail mentally

Tough To Play Well On This Pitch - Ranieri

Claudio Ranieri gave his thoughts following Juventus' 0-0 draw at San Siro against Milan.

Juventus coach Claudio Ranieri was satisfied with his team's performance after the 0-0 draw away to AC Milan.

"I'm happy with the personality we showed, it's not easy to play on this pitch," he said. "It's almost like playing on soap here, now I understand why Milan can't play well and win on this pitch.

"We lacked precision on the final passes, that's why I tried to change something up front by putting in [Alessandro] Del Piero, [Gabriele] Palladino, and [Marco] Marchionni."

Ranieri then defended his choice to play Vincenzo Iaquinta instead of Del Piero: "Vincenzo was struggling because he was playing against [Alessandro] Nesta and [Kakha] Kaladze and we could not give him good balls, but he did all he could with what we were able to do and for that I thank him."

The Roman coach's final comment was on the transfer market: "I believe in Tiago and [Sergio] Almiron, they have great potential and soon they will show it."

Berlusconi Praises Juventus Organization

Silvio Berlusconi praised Juve's well-organized play after the 0-0 stalemate at San Siro, and also talked about Kaká and Ronaldo.

Milan President Silvio Berlusconi was satisfied after tonight's 0-0 draw at home against Juventus. The Rossoneri's boss praised the football played by Juventus.

"Milan felt tired after the match played against Benfica in the Champions League a few days ago," he said, "but the result is fine for us because Juventus was very well-organized on the pitch."

Asked about which players he liked most, Berlusconi had little doubts: "Kaká is extraordinary, not just as a football player but as a person. He's an example for everybody. Ronaldo? He needs the brought to Lourdes..."

The Brazilian striker suffered a new injury setback in midweek just before the match against Benfica, after making his comeback following three months spent on the sidelines. However, he has been called up for the upcoming Club World Cup to be played from 9 to 16 December in Japan.

Scudetto Race Does Not Concern Us - Buffon

Juventus goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon talked about the performance against Milan, Kaká's imminent Golden Ball win, and the Scudetto race.

During the 0-0 stalemate tonight at San Siro between Milan and Juventus, the Bianconeri's keeper Gigi Buffon was probably among the best players on the pitch. A save on a shot by Kaká was particularly impressive.

Following the match, the keeper expressed satisfaction about his Juve's performance and praised his defence in particular.

"I have to give my compliments to my team mates in defence, we managed to contain a great champion like Kaká," he said.

"[Giorgio] Chiellini, [Nicola] Legrottaglie, [Cristiano] Zanetti, and [Antonio] Nocerino all did very well against Kaká, without them it would have been tougher."

On the Brazilian playmaker's imminent Golden Ball triumph, he said: "Kaká completely deserves to win the Golden Ball."

On the Scudetto race, the Italian international said: "It's not an issue that concerns us at this point in time, but winning the respect, the esteem and the fear of our opponents is already a big success."
