This game was a proper stalemate. Both teams defended impeccably and attacked terribly. All that effort plugging the gaps in defense made it difficult to move the ball towards goal before either side had time to find their shape. But I think we had the better of the chances. Dybala is a touch out of form, Morata wasn't clean nor physical enough and Cuadrado badly lacks that final ball, so I'd put Juve's impotency up forward (in this particular match) down to form and avoidable errors, whereas Napoli struggled for tactical reasons. Higuain was very isolated throughout. Hopeful long balls to a center-forward in the kind of form Higuain is in is a worthy approach but we were able to shut him down at a cost. They had more talent and better form up forward than we did and yet we were able to shut them down and grind out a goal. That bodes well for when Mandzukic and Dybala are reunited and back in the form they were a month ago. Not to mention the addition of Chiellini.

The Milan and Inter forums were full of crushed dreams

You'd think we took on 19 Serie A clubs at once last night.

Sure sounds bad when you put it this way, but on the other hand Napoli has 56 points now, just two points less than what we had at this point last season.
You mean 2 points less than we had last season while playing in 3 competitions and trying to win them all...

Napoli is out of Coppa Italia and plays their weakest lineup in Europa thus far.

Hardly comparable.

Chiellini out
Bonucci out
Caceres out

Some kid in the center

Still didnt do shit

Higuain
Always has and always will choke when the matches start to matter down the stretch. His poor form down the stretch was why Napoli failed to finish top 3 last season, and why they lost to Dnipro in EL semi.

Disappears in the big moments

I can't get over how we won this

It's so fucking satisfying. They thought they did enough to hold out for a well-deserved draw. And they nearly did too. Until...

BOOM! Destruction from Lord Zaza.

If Dybala scores his easy chance... match would have turned into a rout with us killing them on the counter. I can't believe so many of them think they outplayed us when they didn't even have a proper chance on goal.

Only Inter are more disgusting than Napoli in Italy. Inter-Napoli-Roma are the three that make me nauseous.

It simply couldn't get better then that.

1. Win against all odds with so many injuries
2. Grab the first place
3. Thanks to this score, in case we're level on points with Napoli at the end of the season - we are champions
4. Prolong our winning streak (going for the record)
5. Destroy Napoli's winning streak
6. Best Napoli player Higuain with tears in his eyes - Napoli broken

I still can't believe Higuain was basically invisible playing against a Juve back line missing both Chiellini and Bonucci (for half the game). Embarrassing performance from that whiny bitch.

I liked what James Horncastle had to say post-match. That you'd think after 4 years of winning the Scudetto, losing the big players over the summer and having a woeful start to the season Juve would just say, OK we will try again next season, but no the team had such spirit and character to come back... and that people like Buffon, Chiellini and Marchisio in the team, whose hunger is still there as they went down to B and stayed in those difficult years, and knowing the value of wanting to win all there is to win
:touched:

And before any of the notorious barcelona fellationists come crying.

A juve fan wouldnt feel the insane need to mention messi and especially the apparently inevitable move to barcelona. Cause a juve fan would hate nothing more then the notion any keyplayer moving to a different club, nor feel the need to have to praise a different team when talking about juventus
