That's debatable but I am eager to see whether Alegri will switch to a four man defense which he didn't put on a pitch quite long just for this important match ,although there is nothing wrong with that formation or will just put Lich at Chiello's place in a 3 man defense.

Besides Evra being there instead of Alex Sandro - it's pretty much the best we can field. I'd think of playing Cuadrado instead of rusty Pereyra, but Licht, Cuadrado and Dybala on the right would be too much probably.
I'd be surprised if Allegri decided to play Pereyra but it could be our only option.

Mandzukic is not there and we probably shouldn't risk Khedira for this game as well.

I don't like us switching formations for such an important game, but I'm sure the team can handle it.

@DUKAC Apparently the 352 doesn't work well against a 433.

http://www.zonalmarking.net/2010/08/09/three-man-defence-three-man-attack/

...The problem with a three-man defence is that it rarely works well against anything other than two strikers. Against one striker, you’re left with 3 v 1 at the back – fine defensively, but clearly leaving a shortfall somewhere else in the side. Against three forwards (one central and two side), there is no natural solution in terms of marking. If your wing-backs (in a 3-4-1-2) pick up the opposition wingers (in a 4-3-3) you’re left with same problem, being overmanned at the back. If your centre-backs are given the task of picking up the wingers, either they’re dragged dangerously wide, or they’re allowing the wingers the time and space they desire.

Here, however, when the three-man defence faces a 4-3-3, the Red's three-man defence is overstocked against the lone striker. If the Reds' wing-backs mark the Blues' wingers, then they are left with no attacking width and will see little posssession. If the job is left to the centre-backs, the defence falls apart.

Furthermore, the increased emphasis upon (a) movement (b) pace and (c) versatile attacking players in the modern game means it’s simply too easy for a three-man defence to be dragged out of shape...
...that said i would have played 352 no matter what :p simply because we looked pretty
great recently. but with the injuries we have, a back-4 seems to be more suitable. might be a blessing in disguise. :xfinger:
this goes for the bayern game too.

No way lich does not play in the Napoli Game If we want to play back 4, we should play 4-3-1-2 Licht as a RCB and Barza as a LCB.I'd still probably play 4 3 2 1 myself and give Rugani the chance he need to play a lot more to be in form if weare going to use him for Bayern game(Chiello and martin will be out)

I feel the same way about switching formations for big games. The good news, our squad's tactical flexibility allows to switch formations mid-game in case things go south. I'm confident Allegri won't mess up tactically, I don't remember an important match where he fucked up... unlike Conte.

I don't have proof but Rizzoli will favour Juve vs napoli. When he makes a mistake it's always in favour of one team. - Liguori(director of TGCom).

If Allegri plays Rugani, he'll to against everything he's done regarding the boy this season.

He absolutely doesn't trust him, and Rugani himself showed a lot of insecurity when he played. He shouldn't play.

Considering Cuadrado's great form, and Pereyra rustiness, I think he'll go 352 with Licht as RCB and Barzagli LCB.

But I like the 4312 with Pereyra too. Actually I think that's the team he'll play.

But just play Alexsandro anyway. I have a feeling he'll go with Evra, and that's a mistake.

Good chance of a draw IMO with that lineup

it's sort of exciting to see what Allegri will decide. Imagine how Napoli is guessing right now
I think with only 3 CBs fit, Allegri will go with a back-4 IF Pereyra is ready to start. That way, he'll have a backup CB. If Pereyra isn't close to fully match-fit yet, then it's anyone's guess.

The only player I would take from Napoli right now is Allan.

They payed laughable price for him even when eveyone knew he was a very good player and had room for improvement.

He was on our radar, we could have loaned him instead of Lemina, with obligation to buy.
Allan was on his last year with Udinese. We couldn't have signed him on loan.

Quality-wise, they're about the same. And both are B2B's but different type of B2B's.

Over a period of 4 years (Khedira's length of contract), cost of signing Allan and paying his wages comes out to be about the same as Khedira's wages. Khedira also won't have much of a market value in 4 years, Allan will.

But Khedira has valuable CL and international experience, is a consummate professional, and has leadership abilities. If he can't stay fit though, all is moot.

It'll be 3-5-2 with Licht as the RCB. I think he has only played there once or twice with us, and its a bit of a risky move, but It's clear Allegri still doesnt trust Rugani yet (justified IMO), and that formation has brought us 14 wins in a row in Serie A.

I would love to see Alex Sandro start as LWB, but it's clear he'll start Evra due to his experience in these big games. I have a feeling Khedira will be fit for this game, but he wont risk him. We need Morata to be in good form here, I dont want to see him constantly drifting to the left and playing with his head down like he tends to do. Mandzukic would have been key in games like this. Napoli tend to bully players, and Mandzukic thrives in physical battles. I hope Dybala is nice and refreshed for this one, he has looked a bit heavy legged recently, if he is close to full fitness, I can see him doing some damage. His set-pieces will be key.

It'll be a close game, they are obviously a very talented side, but fuck it would be amazing to inflict another 3-0 smashing on them.

One of the most interesting serie a games for years..
And with a great build up too:
1. Bonucci & alex sandro need to avoid yellowcard in last match so both could play in this game.
2. New rules about protesting against ref, we'll see :D
3. Injured player, makes both tifosi & sarri keeps wonder what teams&formations will euromax field.
4. Both team on winning streak record. One/both will stop for sure.
Not a title decider, but could be.

Although I rate Rugani very high it would be a bit risky to put him in fire against Bayern maybe Napoli also. And probably you won't put unfit Pereyra for 90 minutes in a 4-3-1-2 system like you propose.Maybe safer is 3-5-2 with Lich in back three. With Quadrado ahead of him and Evra on other side.

Fucking burlesque started.3 days prior to game.Fucking shits.I feel so pity about injuries. We should kill these bitches.I am fed up with this "referee favoring Juve".I will use Conte's words."Justice is always done at the pitch".So we really have to show who we are doesn't matter what system we play and no matter who is playing. There is no way us losing this one.We just need to win this I am not scared about lost at all .That won't happen.

I think that we will play 3-5-2 this game.
Also Alegri will play Evra over Sandro and rightfully so. Evra is more solid at defense although Sandro is a better passer.
He won't play Pereyra cause he is coming from injury and is still raw.

Buffon
Lich Barzagli Bonbon
Quadrado Khedira/Sturaro Marchisio Pogba Evra
Dybala Morata
And tell me why Evra is bette defensively? Up until this point I haven't seen Sandro in problems at any point defensively?? I would say hes atleast on the same level as Evra defensively!

You also wanna play Evra vs Bayern?? We are Juventus!! To play Evra cause of fear is just pussy tactic!!

Watch Allegri surprise everyone in this one. Hernanes as regista, Marchisio box-to-box, Zaza instead of Morata...

We have injuries, but still, we have options.
