I visited that Sunday evening game vs inter and it was a pain in the ass to get back to the city. I’ve hardly witnessed something this unorganized before. There was one bus every 45min-1h

If I ever go there again I’ll go by car. Never ever again with public transportation

Yeah I thought that last time I was stuck by the bus stop with a load of stranded Stuttgart fans, we ended up having to take a bus round the outskirts to then get back into the centre of the city... nearly 3 hours after the end of the match I finally made it back, was an absolute joke, and has always been my only gripe about the evening matches, especially if I have a early flight to catch the next day.

Next time I'm going I'm definitely booking a seat with Around Turin again, that has always been a pleasant experience, get to and from the games in good time, seriously glad that service is back this season.

Yeah sounds like the best solution - i mostly drive to Turin from Frankfurt so I’ll def take the car next time - no beer for me lol

Last time I stayed in Turin for a big game I booked a taxi back in advance, was €16.

Mid tier games I've not found a problem with the bus, both more recent times there were a couple arrive at the same time.

Uber is a waste of time and expensive to go 3-4 miles.

Last 3 times I've been to evening matches, the buses and trams are so packed you're left waiting for the next one or the next one if you don't leave the stadium promptly or early it's been the only downside to my experiences there, thank God Around Turin is running the coach service again this season.

Not sure why anyone would bother taking a bus after a game. Of course they'll be packed.

Last tram(s) leave(s) 45-60 minutes after the final whistle. By that time, they're basically empty. The earlier ones will be busier, obviously, but I definitely wouldn't call them packed. And if one is, just take the next one. There's usually more than one waiting. Starting from the end of the game, a tram will leave every few minutes. And you'll have priority over the other traffic.

There literally is no quicker way to get back to the city centre.

I used to take the /9 tram on match days opposite Bernini metro, I think (without checking) it does pass through Porta Susa station, not sure if it actually goes into Porta Nuova though.

The regular #9 tram that runs all the time goes through the city centre and I believe it terminates a good 10-15 min walk to the stadium

Stadio, I guess. There's only one station at the stadium, right in front of the main entrance. A bunch of tracks, but you can't miss since all trains head to the city centre anyway.

Remark: this applies after the game.
The stadium to city centre line is different from the city centre to stadium line. Because everyone arrives at a different time before the game, but wants to leave at a similar time after it.
Honestly, of all the big stadiums I've visited where you have to rely on public transport to get back to the city centre, ours offers the quickest & easiest solution.

It’s a 90 min walk if I remember correctly - can’t do that with a gf on a Sunday night in February
