It's funny how Lampard is being linked to the Roma job but is also the bookies' favourite for the Coventry job.

I think he'd be insane to go to Roma at this stage of his career. I'm not even convinced he'd do well at Coventry.
Doubt he would even consider it. Mid season and doesn’t speak Italian. Maybe if it was summer and he had chance to learn language I could see him take it.

My money is on mancini or sarri since both available. Doubt allegri is interested but u never know.

They are already paying for De Rossi and Juric. Doubt they have the money for Allegri.

Looks like it’ll be Rudi Garcia again lol.

i was trying to find info on juric salary but can't find anything solid. but his contract was only till 2025 so it's not a big salary loss for them

de rossi was earning 3.3m euros per season though till 2027. that's going to sting roma more i think. @s4tch can help if that is gross salary or net.

that said aren't roma's owners billionaires? their net spent for market was around 50m i think this summer. maybe they still can afford a salary for manager?

italian wages are usually published as net. it was net in this case too

the owners can surely afford a new manager, but maybe the club is not allowed to or not willing get one. plus there's ffp, liquidity ratio to respect, and roma is either the most indebted italian club, or 2nd behind inda, so their finances aren't rosy at all

Seriously, what in the actual FUCK is happening at Roma?

I'd be absolutely furious if I was a romanista.

Let's get this straight.

Friedkin's hire Ghisolfi (who doesn't speak a word of Italian) to work alongside DDR to start the season.

Barely into the season they sack DDR from the advisement of the CEO.

Hire Juric from the advisement of the CEO.

The CEO resigns a week later.

Disregard Ghisolfi the sporting director from all of this.

Fire Juric.

Ghisolfi advises to reinstate DDR.

Friedkin's hire an agency to help them find a next manager and disregard Ghisolfi.

Hire Ranieri to be a stopgap until the end of the season.

Ghisolfi should just resign, he's clearly not trusted anymore and isn't respected.

New CEO is being brought in to contribute to a new manager and structure before the season ends.

Players in the team have to wait until the summer to understand their future at Roma.

What a fucking clown show!

All this while Lotito brags for the next 6 months about how Lazio are the team of Rome spending peanuts by comparison and having a real manager in Baroni who they took a punt on.

Ranieri still has a special place in my heart for when Juve returned to Serie A, he made do with what he had.
The season when Del Piero finished top scorer in serie A had some special moments. Was an achievement to take us straight back into the champions League places after being in serie B.

Then the following season beating Real Madrid twice in the Champions League and finishing 2nd in the league.

Del Piero was on fire.

I was happy when he left due to a poor end to the season but looking back I think he did a good job.

What a badly managed club. Roma fans and players don’t deserve this. Lazio has been well managed in comparison like you said even compared to bigger clubs.

Roma right now should be in position Atalanta has been over last few years. Competing for top 4 and making it into European finals.
