Apparently the goal didn't come from this action. Salernitana won possession after this offside and then lost it again, so VAR could not intervene.
But what should have happened was the linesman raising his flag immediately after this pass.
Remember a few years ago when we had a goal disallowed vs Genoa for something that was pulled back like a minute before the goal happened.

if the attacking team loses possession even for a second, then by the protocol everything that follows counts as a new action, so while technically it's the same attack and only a few seconds have passed, var still can't intervene. it has nothing to do with time

that's why i said that the protocol was retarded

form table, based on the last 6 games:

jj is the obvious highlight with 0 goals conceded and 4 corto muso victories, but bologna's unbeaten run and roma's 4 wins, 3 of them secured in the last 10 minutes or so are a bit surprising. glad to see cagliari getting some wins lately, i like ranieri too much to wish ill on the old man, i hope they won't get relegated.

just for the record, the full table looks like this:

i think that most people would expect the same 4 teams at the top at the end of the season. but if milan can't get their shit together, and/or if osimhen loses his motivation completely... salernitana look hopeless. then again, things can change quickly, especially at the bottom. cagliari looked equally bad a few weeks ago.
