lautaro is a punchable figure on the pitch, and it looks like he isn't any better off it. he illegally fired a babysitter once he learned that she was sick. she died a few months later. now a court ordered him to compensate her family.

Napoli have formally approached Antonio Conte today. Discussions will follow with direct talks to understand if he can be the right man to replace Rudi Garcia. No final decision made yet as there are many crucial points to discuss before advancing with Conte. [Fabrizio Romano]

Holy shit.

Can you imagine the transformation of that squad from what they played last year to Conte tactics? They'd do great in the league, their European hopes would implode.

Politano/Osimhen up top because Politano strikes me as a player Conte would fanboy over.

Kvaratskhelia plays LWB in the 3-5-2, with Di Lorenzo as the RWB.

Midfield of Zielinski, Elmas, and Anguissa. Back three of Jesus, Rui, and Ostigard.

The banter era Napoli would be back.

This will initially work great then implode. A team that operates on a tight budget with very little ambition and a somewhat insane owner and fan base. The question is how quickly the rise and fall will happen.

They have no European ambitions they’re not a very ambitious club in general. He’d probably deploy a 3:4:3 Chelsea style with this squad.

their European hopes are non-existant, chances are they'll never win a CL in our lifetime.

which is why it would be a bad match for both parties. what was the last time conte played with 4 at the back? some early chelsea matches before the inevitable switch to a back 3? and what was the last time napoli played with 3 at the back? mazzarri days maybe? didn't check either and might be wrong, point is that this napoli squad has been specifically built for years with 4-3-3 in mind, and conte is a 3-man backline dude.

he could still fix their heads obviously
