Im not talking about title challenge. We were out of that race since October, maybe slim chance before Napoli kicked our ass in Jan. But it had effect on our players and a lot of teams would have collapsed afterwards. Top 2 with this squad and arbitrary Figc decisions seems good enough. CL is another story and we failed miserably there. Eventhough Benfica started their season strong, losing against Macabi for me is the lowest point in this season.

We would have still been in the title race right now if we had won just our last 6 in Serie A instead of losing two and drawing two. Nobody in Serie A has been truly running away with it. Napoli having a great season but not historical.

The injury crisis didn't help us, but that's been over for months and months by now. Even taking our poor start, what's kept us out of contention has been the final third of the season.

Nah. Just another contributing factor. Our worst period of form in the season was when we collected just 13 points in the first 9 matches. Since then we’ve collected 53 in 25.

We’ve had 3 periods of very poor form. Longest was the first period.

Matchday 2 - 9. Won 2 - lost 2 - drew 4.

Matchday 18-20. 2 losses - 1 draw.

Matchday 29-32. 3 losses - 1 draw

In those periods we have 2 losses to Monza, 1 loss to Sassuolo, and draws with Sampdoria, Salernitana, Bologna.
Turn 4 of those 6 poor results against poor teams into wins, and we are just 6-7 pts behind Napoli right now. Gotta beat the minnows.

Yeah the main point remains that if we can find two draws that should have been wins, a loss that should have been a win and then if we hadn't shat it so hard in just one of the Napoli games we'd still be in the race.

One of those draws was the VAR fuckup, and then you can take your pick from the other myriad awful dinosaur performances and then boom there's your culprit

It's Allegri

And to be clear with what I mean - there were mitigating factors at the beginning of the season. Those factors have since been resolved and we should for example have steamrolled Sassuolo the other week. With a full squad like we have we have no excuse to be dropping points against pretty well anyone

Sportitalia having fun doing fictive rankings with a -9 to Juve.
There is NOTHING written about how many points they will deduct. Gazzetta spreading the news (do they already know? Strange) and Italian television surfing the wave doing gossip instead of reporting facts.

‍ At least nine penalty points for #Juventus.

Gazzetta seem to have a habit of being 'law experts' and future tellers

In truth, any deduction of points in this case will be scandalous.

The club cannot accept these arbitrary rulings.

It will almost certainly be the original -9 ruling. It’s the most logical deduction as it was what the FIGC prosecutor originally requested.

Napoli about to get all their players poached because they play in a tin pot league they're so desperate to create. But at least they won a Scudetto after 50 years. Just took the destruction of Serie A.

Amazing that these teams can't see the rising tide would lift all boats. Instead they'd rather sink everyone like Grande Raiola always said.
