And Tuz thinks Zaniolo is overrated lol

If he stays healthy we’re going to have to pay a Vlahovic size fee to get him now. This summer was the only chance to get him for a reasonable fee.
Only a few special ones think he is overrated. I get the ones who think he's an injury risk, but considering the trash we have bought in the past and the underwhelming choices we continue to make, it's an investment worth the risk.

Unless Mr Juventino decides he only wants Juve and doesn't sign an extension to avoid his fee going up.

Also your 'if' is what made us hesitate to sign him. He's an obvious talent, but that's a big if at this point.

I think we did try for him this season Roma just rejected the loan + installments plan

All those comments about having a generational Italian or whatever. We already have Chiesa so the only other one is Zaniolo

That’s my point. The only reason he was available for a ~40-50 mil fee is because of that risk. If he stays healthy and plays big minutes for a second season in a row, he isn’t being sold near that cheap. We didn’t get Vlahovic cheap even though he refused to sign an extension, and the same will probably happen with Zaniolo.

Given the decade-long potential for a Zaniolo-Vlahovic-Chiesa trio, I personally think it was a risk worth taking for under 50 mil. I understand if people don’t because of injuries. But not the silliness about him not being good enough.

Hopefully our management become convinced when he tears us a new asshole on matchday 3.

Not sure how much of that I saw, myself.

I want him here if his fitness could be guaranteed, but it can't and we haven't got 50m to gamble with this summer, I suppose. If he ends up a top guy who grew up watching Juve it would hurt that he wasn't playing here. We already missed out on Verratti, but that one hurts more because he would have been so cheap.

I say Zaniolo can make his dream move happen by firstly staying fit, and secondly not renewing with Roma, eventually forcing his way out.
