Going into this weekend's matches. Some things of note:
- We can probably assume Lazio will not pick up points as they are away at Napoli who is on a tear, remaining at 45 points.
- If we defeat Roma that would mean they do not pick up points at 44 points while we go up to 38 points.
- Atalanta on Saturday at home against Udinese. By no means a clear victory given how Udinese has played this year. Would be nice to see a draw and us gain ground on them six points above us currently.
- Bologna, equal on points with us currently, are away at Torino so a possible chance there for us to put some distance from them.

Victor Osimhen's streak of scoring in 8 consecutive Serie A games came to an end yesterday against Lazio.

Cristiano Ronaldo remains the only player to score in 11 consecutive Serie A games.

Gabriel Batistuta and Fabio Quagliarella have also scored in 11 consecutive Serie A games.

Dude, all we heard here on Tuz after they signed him and to start the season was how great their attack would be with Abraham, Dybala, Zaniolo, Pellegrini. They didn’t get rid of Zaniolo til winter mercato, by the way. And Dybala was supposed to be the big improvement on Mkhitaryan.

Dybala is the one dominating the ball in that side. They play through him on most attacks. His stats are fine in a vacuum, but aren’t good enough if he is their main man in attack in terms of creating.

Tammy Abraham has 7 goals - 5 assists this year in 2/3 of a season. He had 27 goals - 5 assists last year.

Zaniolo had 2 goals - 3 assists this year in half a season. He had 8 goals - 9 assists last year.

Pellegrini has 5 goals - 8 assists this year in 2/3 of a season. He had 14 goals - 8 assists last year.

So bringing in Dybala, if we expand those guys out to a full season projected goals, they will have dropped from 49 goals down to 23 goals scored. And you’re saying this has nothing to do with Dybala and the fact he isn’t creating enough for his fellow attackers (something we had issues with here as well with him). C’mon.
He is a chucker. Was a chucker for us and now is a chucker for them. Always immensely talented and can figure it out for himself upfront but never sufficient on his own. Good to have as a wild card player.

Allegried at a young age and now being Mourinhoed. He won’t suddenly change his football if he goes elsewhere. Hell forever be a chucker

In the press conference at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona, Sarri was asked whether his Napoli or the current incarnation was the Great Beauty?

“You can have many beauties. If you prefer blondes, it’s not as if a pretty brunette walks past and you call her ugly,” replied the former Chelsea coach.
“The difference between the teams is that this Napoli is going to win and for that I envy them like crazy! Spalletti has been phenomenal, along with the club and director of sport, he had the courage to do things that had never been done before.”
