As I said earlier, Inter the clear favourites for the Scudetto this season.

But it is nice to have gained +5 points on the top 2 teams over the past two games. I’m more than certain that both Nipples and Milan will drop a lot more points from here on out. Both were on ridiculous runs of form and over performing big time.
Which is why this result sucks. I was hoping Napoli would hold onto first place until Afcon. It's much easier to catch up onto them when they will lose players and momentum, than to this inter.

:agree:

It is unlikely Napoli or Milan are winning the scudetto. The question is whether we can catch up the 11 points to them, I think we have left too much to do especially as we are still a work in progress..

Next week is huge. Atalanta for us is pretty much a must win. It will also be interesting to see how Milan and Napoli do now they have had a defeat and the pressure is on them.

Biggest thing is actually stopping losing points against minnows. Atalanta in Turin is a game we should win, but the 5 games after that before mid-season are must-wins. Every single one of them. None of those games is against teams above 9th place. We’ve dropped points against so many shit teams so far this season and that’s the reason we are so far down the table. Our results against top teams are just fine so far. We have 3 wins-2 draws-1 loss against top 8 teams in Serie A. Already had Napoli, Lazio, Inter away matches too.

We have 17 matches left against teams outside the top 8. That’s 51 points up for grabs. Seeing as we’ve dropped so many points against these sort of teams already, I’d say we need to pick up 51 to have any shot at the scudetto. Probably need to pick up 45 if we want to finish top 4.

Yeah you are right, they are all must wins.

I'd say we can forget the scudetto this season. Too many teams would need to go on bad runs above us and I'm not convinced we are good enough to pick up enough points. We need to get top 4 though and can't risk being cut adrift. At the moment it looks like us, Lazio, Roma, Atalanta and Fiorentina fighting for the final spot. Atalanta are the big threat out of these teams.

And who is going to score goals for us even if Inter or Napoli play badly Lautaro Dzeko or Osimhen score goals against the run of play

What really killed us were the Verona and Sassuolo games. The start was awful but that can happen and we recovered, then acted like amateurs in those two games and killed all the momentum. Win those two and we're within 5 pts now.

Pretty much. Those two losses killed the faint hopes we had of a title challenge. But top 4 is still extremely doable and I expect it to go down to the wire again.

Shows the depth of our squad Arthur Bentacur and rabiot started the game vs hellas Verona and we're total disaster also we have moody Morata and princess Dybala who are not in the best of form keep on missing easy chances
