Milan inter and Napoli look most likely to compete for the scudetto at this moment
i remember the 00/01 season, that was my last university year. at the start of the season, the top4 looked like roma, udinese, bologna and atalanta at some point. (not sure about the order.) at the end of the season, only capello's roma finished in the top4 (they won the league, thanks to a very late montella goal for 2-2 at the delle alpi, a couple of rounds before the season ended), atalanta and bologna dropped to mid-table, and udinese was closer to relegation than to the cup places.
i also remember the 15/16 season when the top4 after 12 rounds were fiorentina, inda, roma and napoli, all within 2 points. juve were 9 points down from the top. inda were christmas champs and looked pretty good. at the end of the season, juve won the league with 9 points ahead of the rest, and inda dropped out of the cl places.
and there's conte's last season when rudi garcia's roma started the season with 10 wins in as many rounds, a record for the league, and looked completely unstoppable, then finished 2nd, 17 points behind juventus.
i mean titles or even title contenders aren't decided at the beginning of october. let's check the table in february. at the moment those mentioned are the strongest teams, and juve is yet to prove to be better than roma, lazio or atalanta, let alone those 3 teams, but it's still very, very early into the season.
