I still think it’s doable…but our schedule in January is insane. Milan, Napoli and Roma in Serie A with the Supercoppa game with Inter sandwiched inbetween. We really, really have to win our next two games in the league before the winter break to give us any hope of trying to compete for the top 4 at the turn of the year.
Seems to be their collapse would provide us the only glimmer of hope of qualifying for the CL. We’ve gained about 7 points on them over the past 4-5 rounds.
If we get our shit together, I expect us to finish above them. That’s a really big if though.
Need to clinch maximum points till the winter break and then get a top striker once the window opens.
i basically stopped watching inda league matches since last season. it's just painful to see how well oiled of a machine they became. unless they have some huge financial trouble, they'll dominate the league for a couple of years. it's gonna be an easy title for them once again.
I agree. People plotting Napoli’s downfall shouldn’t forget how plagued by inconsistency we are, it’s not even sporadic, it’s every other week. I see no reason to hope.

I hate to see Inter do well, but it’s also a reminder that even a hopeless team can become world beaters in a couple of seasons under the right management. Marotta did it in 2011 with us and now again with Inter.
So far Cherubini and Arrivabene have been decent, much better than that dumb fuck Paratici. Let’s see if they’re up to the task in the next couple of transfer windows.

locatelli was a good purchase, but looking at our targets (and finances) i'm not too optimistic. pogba, icardi, romagnoli, those mediocre midfielders like tolisso or witsel or wijnaldum, zero excitement there. vlahovic would be fine and instrumental too, but he's expensive.
just bring luis campos or steal marotta back from mordor, those guys are proven team builders. i bet luis campos would pull some rabbits out of his hat
And people mocked me when I said we should get him, even from last season he was better than all our midfielders yet the dreamers thought he likes of Pogba would be coming. Missed opportunity, Zakaria won't have these goals and assists in him.

Their shit form and issues won't last forever. If we don't capitalize on what is happening to the right now, we won't recover and it's very likely unfortunately.
Maybe without injuries we'd do better but naples soccer could use the same argument here.
