What about Lorenzo Lucca is he ready for playing in the serie a?
I think he is, but there is a big but ...

He is like Luca Toni, so he is only useful in a few occasions. Compare him with Gianluca Scamacca (Sassuolo). Both players need to be supplied in the box. Lucca is good at heading, finishing and hold-up play, but he is not a type of dribbler and playing throug balls/key passes. He is the perfect poacher to have in your team, but I think a attacker who is a big tall tree is a little bit outdated in modern football. Nowadays you need to be everything in once. I think Lorenzo Colombo (Milan player loaned to SPAL) is a way bigger prospect. They are lucky to have such an attacker in youth with Ibra and Giroud getting on age. I would say even Gori (22) from Cosenza isn't worse than Lorenzo Lucca.

Probably hyped by all his goals in the first matches, but surely not the biggest talent in Serie B. I rate our own Fagioli higher for example.

Money is no guarantee for wins. Just look at City and PSG. And look at Leicester or Lille.

Instead of whining about cash, we should definitely change our staff and buy more smart without having top 5 biggest wage bills in Europe.
Yes - it's no guarantee; yes - it increases the probablility... by a lot.

The Lilles and Leicesters are merely pleasent exceptions.

we should have get sartori and all their scouting staff at atalanta. Shit they even see jewel in Romero whom we see him as as failed transfer after his loan spell at genoa.
He and his scouting network surely can make a strong team with limited budget.

I don't understand our obsession to hire an inexperienced DS from internal staff

That "a lot" didn't help City and Psg in Europe after spending more than billion euros.
psg before the takeover: merely a couple of domestic titles here and there, zero impact in europe (besides one international trophy and an absolute humiliation by juve in the supercup hahaha). after the takeover: 2nd is their worse league finish, and they are getting closer to a cl final. stable top10 on the uefa ranking (top3 considering the last 3 seasons).

city before the takeover: almost zeru tituli (two league titles in a century, the last in '68), zero impact in europe. since the takeover: no season without cl football, most league titles in a pretty competitive league, and a steady climb on the uefa ranking (currently 3rd considering the last 5 seasons).

one of these will win a cl eventually, it's only a matter of time. qatar can be impatient though. they spent some change on the psg handball team: 20m euros isn't a lot by football standards, but it's by far the biggest budget in handball. then they won all league titles except one since the takeover, and they made it to 5 cl final fours. they failed to win it, so they will apparently cut the costs from 18-20m to ~12m (which is still the highest in the french league and an easy top5 in the world). so unless they become impatient somehow, they will keep spending like crazy for their football team too. consistency is the key there. it's easier to have an outstanding season if all your seasons are at least very good.

Yeah some people just fall victim to footy-romantic wishful thinking.

:agree:

Both have gone from irrelevant midtable sides in their respective leagues to dominating their respective and slowly progressing further and further in Europe. PSG played their first ever CL final in 2020 and City their first in 2021. Both lost, but it doesn’t change the fact they have outspent everyone else in football by a wide margin to build domestic dominance and top 3-4 European sides. Eventually if they keep outspending everyone else this way they will dominate European football for the most part too.

PSG and City can suck a d**k, Chelsea are more dangerous because they actually have a plan and won the CL twice in their money era.

Inter owners #Suning could be in for a very heavy financial hit, as Chinese giants Evergrande have defaulted and are expected to be declared bankrupt today.

Bloomberg confirm China Evergrande Group defaulted on interest payments to international investors.

German market screening agency DMSA have started bankruptcy proceedings, calling on all bond investors to join, so the real estate developers will likely be declared bankrupt tomorrow.

Evergrande already missed several deadlines and extensions on the interest payments before defaulting yet again.

This is very bad news for Inter, because their owners Suning had €2.6 billion worth of shares in Evergrande Real Estate.

There had already been serious liquidity issues at Suning and this will be a further blow to their portfolio.
According to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index, Suning and Inter owner Zhang Jindong has lost $2 billion this year, circa half his fortune.
It will again raise questions on the future of Inter and their plans to sell the club, especially with PIF interested, the Saudi investment fund that has already purchased Newcastle United.

They made the payment. No default.
