Season finishing in its entirety aka all remaining fixtures played seems naive pipe dream kind of idea now.

Disease might slow and be under control in June/July but won't disappear. It's possible half the teams will get infected by end of first month. And how long is the break and preseason supposed to be?

I have a poll sugestion: should Juve accept the assigned Scudetto?

My vote would be 'yes'.
They took two FULLY earned titles from us, so we have every moral right to accept a half earned one.
The results are in:

Yes: 100%
No: 0%

Total votes: 1

I hope you found that enlightening and entertaining.

Why would anyone vote no? Seriously? We're first. It's not like we're sharing the points so it's debatable. It's even stupid to discuss that, so that should be left to Lazio and Inter cry about. Had we been 2nd place at this point we'd have no reason to argue, we might have won it still, but it just happened. It's the circumstances that happen once in 50 years probably. Scudetto not being assigned to anyone would be fucking retarded. I'd rather have next season start when it's supposed to, rather than move everything.

It is interesting that the general chatter in the media seems to be edging further towards no more football being played this season and how that could/should be handled.

A week or two ago there was more talk about how to get games played.

The situation will surely continue for another 2 months. No chance in hell football would be played any earlier than that at this point, especially when you look at Italy and Spain. That being said I'd rather stop the league at this point and say who the winner is, rather than continuing leagues in mid June and then postponing next season. We also have Euros next year, so it'd be silly to do that.

Yeah, I think it's just the reality of the situation sinking in.

I still don't like the options available in this scenario, though: it doesn't feel right to give out titles when the league hasn't been completed; nor does it feel just to pretend this whole season never happened.

Either way, the football authorities domestically and internationally better be well lawyered up because either option is going to leave plenty people/clubs feeling that they have been fucked over.

It's going to be interesting seeing how big of a hit football gets from corona. I heard some leagues won't pay the last payment for tv rights, so that's 150 million less in their pocket. I also heard some clubs (lesser, obviously) are doing a pay-cut until this finishes. I expect many clubs to suffer from it and spend considerably less during the transfer window. Sadly, it seems this can also increase the gap between extra rich, rich and medium rich clubs.

Some fans were saying we should take the high road and refuse, act noblely, unlike Printer. Also, Agnelli liked a post saying the same thing, which received praise.

How desperate we would be to accept that Scudetto. Can you imagine the Scudetto celebrations?

Would the traditional parading of coffins of vanquished foes through the streets be considered appropriate at this time?

lol I'd celebrate on purpose just to piss off others.
we probably won't celebrate:

figc president gravina is quoted saying on radio that agnelli indeed made it clear that the club would refuse the scudetto if the season would end unfinished, and gravina called it a great gesture.

What a cuck

We should accept it and as celebration we should play china music and do slant eye gestures towards inda

The prize money should be donated to Lega Nord for more razzismo in future to protect from another potential china virus - also to shoot refugee boats from africa
