I'm beginning to appreciate Brozovic more and more with every match. That engine on him is incredible, running almost 13 km per 90 minutes, both in serie A and CL, which is a crazy number if you compare it with all the other players. He distributes the ball very well (second best passer in the league in average passes, and first in total number of passes) and stops lots of opponents' attacks (top 5 in interceptions among midfielders).
For comparison, our Matuidi, who is acknowledged for his stamina, covers 10.7 km per match in serie A and 11.6 km per match in CL. True, a more proper comparison would be Brozovic-Pjanic, and Brozovic is beating Pjanic in every stat, except goals scored, including assists and average passes per game. All eyes in Inter are on Lukaku and Lautaro, but you can bet that without Brozovic they will be scoring less and conceding much more.
He went out with an injury today. I like him, but it's gonna be great info if it keeps him out of the pitch for a month or two.

Gennaro Gattuso announced that the Napoli squad had decided to go into a training retreat last night, but it has already been cut short.

The coach said in his press conference that following a 2-0 home defeat to Fiorentina, the team had proposed going directly from the stadium to the Castel Volturno ground.

It had been assumed this was to best prepare for the upcoming Coppa Italia quarter-final with Lazio on Tuesday and next weekend’s Serie A showdown with Juventus.


However, in a surprise statement, Napoli announced this afternoon that the training retreat had lasted less than 24 hours.

The players were released to go back to their homes, return on Monday morning and then stay overnight to prepare for the Tuesday match.

That boi Immobile used to be ours. Year after year now banging the goals on a regular basis. I kinda wish we had given him a chance to flourish here. He'd have been considered in the top tier of strikers had he been scoring these goals for Juve instead of Lazio.

Except he couldn't perform when he was younger. He failed at all his many loan spells except Pescara, and that was Serie B. And proceeded to fail in Sevilla and Dortmund.


It's ok, players develop in different phases, he wasnt shit then, now the is the shit when it comes to being a pure brilliant finisher. It is what it is, he is in the level he deserves to be. He turned 30, so I'm not sure he wanna risk another big move that might not work out again.
