Late kick-offs disastrous for players'

Lazio team doctor Ivo Pulcini has slammed late kick-offs during the Serie A restart, calling them ‘disastrous for players’ health’.
Lazio’s trip to Atalanta took place at 20:45 BST (21:45 local time) last night and ended with them losing 3-2 after they threw away a two-goal lead.
Regardless of the defeat, Pulcini claims playing so late in the day is posing a ‘serious threat’ to Serie A squads.
“Playing at 21:45 from a medical point of view is disastrous for players’ health, beyond who wins or loses,” Pulcini told ANSA.
“They’ll suffer from physical exhaustion at this rate. The more hours they lose to recover, the worse the syndrome is that brings about physical exhaustion.
“Their health is seriously threatened.”

Yeah skriniar got a second yellow for a wreckless foul and his added dissent. Cunte could be heard several times shouting "ARBITRO!"

...beyond who wins or loses...
yeah, lazio were very consistent on this issue. the club's famous spokesperson, diaconale has been talking about it for weeks.

oh wait, he was busy finding other excuses and creating stories out of thin air.

for the umpteenth time: we need better rivals.

The only real rivals we can have are Milan and Inter. Inter has obviously turned very sour now so can never be just a sporting or historical rivalry, and Milan are just pathetic. They were underhand with Berlu and Galliani in the same way we were with Moggi (and Inter with Moratti, MTP, Facchetti etc) but you knew it was a good rivalry, on the pitch and in the media.

Gone are the days when you also had Roma, Lazio, Fiorentina and Parma challenging each season for the top places. These teams don't know how to handle success or do any of it with class.

It’s just very difficult for clubs like Roma and Napoli ‘to make the next step’. Money basically is everything. Roma had a good decade, challenging for the Scudetto and they came far in de CL. Usually they’re better in Europe than Napoli, but around the corner is always the money part waiting. Every year they have to sell in order to keep their finances healthy. It’s a endless and frustrating situation for Romanisti. This year is worse than the others, after the take-over of Friedkin fell. They had some back luck down the road with the new stadium aswell.

If we compare Inter (or Milan) with both Roma and Napoli there is a big difference in performances the last 8 years, but they’re still comparable financial wise. Inter now coming back on the right track, they’ll rapidly grow and surpass Roma and Napoli easily. Having a bigger fanbase, history, richer owners, it’s all a massive difference compared to Roma and Napoli.

Milan still needs time, but as seen with Inter, when they find the right guys they’ll come back strong in a few years. There’s more potential business wise in Milan/Inter then Roma/Napoli.

Personally I’m hoping that ‘the good old days’ with Inter and Milan as our biggest rivals will return soon. The Serie A has to return as the best league of Europe. We need both Inter and Milan.

It was funny to see Inter struggling with Gargano, Nagatomo, Ranocchia etc but it was a big shame for Italian football. We (/Serie A) became the joke of European football, and we as a club had to improvise commercial wise to avoid the gap between us and Barca, Real, Bayern etc. Simply because the Serie A was not interesting enough for investors.

Speaking about the league I think we’ve made a lot of progress, but we need more time.
