I hope Wenger come and succeeds, e.g. make Milan play his way of football and compete for top places. It would be quite a redemption for Arsene. His Arsenal was amazing in his heyday. He stayed too long and become a butt for all jokes, I don't think he deserved all that shit.

The downfall of Wenger at Arsenal towards the end was his extreme stubbornness and unwillingness to change obvious things which weren't working. Both system, style and players became stale. He also couldn't motivate the players anymore, all of them had a free pass in the team even though they weren't performing. Serie A teams are quite cynical, so if he got figured out in PL the odds aren't on his side in Italy.

It would be a feel-good story though if he could somehow redeem himself at Milan.

More than the video, what he said was funny. The usual "we won the treble," "we are Inter," "Inter will be best in the world again," "we are honest," etc cringe and hypocrisy you hear from rest of Inter's mgmt in Italy.

Suning will bring in more dough, they know how to conduct business, but looks like Inter's club culture will remain. A century old culture would've been difficult to fully change even if the president were a good, strong leader and not someone trying to fit in and lacking in experience. Guy didn't sound like he has much depth.

They should bend over backwards and do whatever they can to appoint Marotta. He'll bring at least a small amount of change in terms of professionalism and decision-making.
