He's hit and miss with the coaches though, Mazzarri and Sarri were both genius hirings, but Benitez and Ancelotti are very strange choices imo
After the Del Neri and Ferarra disasters we got very lucky with coaches. Conte was a fluke and you could say that Allegri was too. Did not expect anything from either of them before they came.

ADL, like Zamparini and Fererro, is an eccentric who makes Calcio interesting. You might say it should be all about the football but I like these senile characters running their mouths, injecting some flavor, perpetuating rivalries. They understand that passion for sport is borne out of hatred for the "other". Moggi and Sacchi were good like that as well. Agnelli is a highly competent guy who's done more for the league than all of those old farts but he's a tad vanilla if you ask me.

He's not vanilla man, he's just a normal human being, who prefers his work to do the talking. He's classy if you ask me.

You could say lucky I guess, especially given how Conte resigned and we found our coach for the next 5 seasons (or more) in a matter of days.

From FIF:

+1, you can`t get anyone better than Luka. Age is just a number, look how professional he is and how he takes care of his body. Look at how fast and dynamic he is in La Liga. In Serie A you don`t even need that, and for him to retain posession and dictate play speed is not even necessary.
Not the right time to complain about his age. The guy will hugely increase our chances to guarantee another CL spot in these two years. This is very crucial and well worth the money. If we go back to EL then we'll lose so much that all what we can attract is a bunch of Vecino's and Valero's. We just can't go back to that shithole again. We need immediate impact right now so we can't sit and wait until Karamoh's and Barella's develop. Players like Nainggolan and Modric are essential transfers.
2 weeks ago, that forum said Ronaldo was old and we were wasting money saying his decline will happen. And here they are now. ^

Modric is younger than Pirlo was when he joined us right?

I'd start worrying (a little) about Inter tbh if this transfer did happen.
But then I remember we have the GOAT and I don't care what any other club is doing ;)

I'd def worry about them initially. They will start strong like always and Spalletti will do what he does and the club will fall apart in 2nd half of the season.
