Just checked, Martinez is CF, maybe could play SS.
They will go with 352 probably:
Handa
deVrij Miranda Skriniar
Perisic Vidal Vecino Naingollan Asa
Martinez Icardi

But what is the point of buying Vrsajlko then? vice Perisic?
or maybe:
Handa
deVrij Miranda Skriniar
Vrsajlko Vidal Asa Naingollan Perisic
Martinez Icardi

Asa played behind the defence in the friendlies (with great effect afaik), so they might do it.

And this new guy Lautaro Martinez? Cant he play on the wing? I know nothing about him TBF.
He could explode. He's a top talent but we'll have to wait and see i guess.

They have a stable team now which has the quality to consistently make top 4 for the next 2-3 years.

352 is a really crap formation for them, imo Christmas tree suits them much better. all their other CBs apart from De Vrij, Miranda and Skriniar are crap

I remember reading Spalletti's interview where he confirmed they will play 3 at the back with de Vrij joining them. Maybe it wont be 352 but 343 but he confirmed it some times ago.

Why ze heck do people rate De Vrij? He's looked terrible every time I watch Lazio play, and been part of what has consistently been one of the worst defenses in the top half of Serie A.

Lazio finished 10th in goals allowed in 17-18 (49), 7th in goals allowed in 16-17 (51), and 13th in goals allowed in 15-16 (52). Dude has been a major part of a leaking sieve. They've scored a lot, allowing them to finish higher in the table than their defensive prowess would suggest, but that defense has been awful.

Skriniar, however, looks fantastic.

I really rate Miranda and Skriniar tho. They had great CB pairing last year, we reall couldnt do much when played them - completely nulified Higuain.

ADL to stage Bari 'revolution?’
By Football Italia staff

Napoli President Aurelio De Laurentiis is reportedly the front-runner to complete an audacious takeover of bankrupt club Bari. The Puglia club reached the Serie B play-offs at the end of last season but folded shortly after their failure to secure promotion to Italian football’s top-flight. They have since been invited to re-launch in Serie D, provided they can find the necessary funding to register in time.

And Gazzetta dello Sport reports that competition to assume control of the Biancorossi is red-hot, with De Laurentiis rivalled by Lazio President Claudio Lotito. The Italian daily claims that De Laurentiis wants to lauch an ambitious project on the Adriatic coast, in a bid to return Bari to Serie A within three seasons.

Italian football regulations forbid two clubs from the same League from being under the same ownership, so in the event that Bari did reach the top-flight, the film producer would have to make a decision to sell one of the clubs. However, Gazzetta claims that De Laurentiis has told his collaborators that he intends to have the rules overturned - and that he wants Napoli and Bari together to provide a challenge to Italian football's historic northern superpowers.

“We’ll convince the Italian sporting authorities to change the rules on multi-ownership,” he is quoted to have said. “It will be a revolution.” Lotito is also said to be interested in presenting a bid for Bari, along with several other parties. However, it appears De Laurentiis is the clear favourite at this stage.

“We’ll convince the Italian sporting authorities to change the rules on multi-ownership,”
:D these guys are brilliant. even one of the most corrupt organizations, uefa realizes why multi-ownership wouldn't work in any competition. yet adl would call it a revolution.

italy :touched:
