Reina faces Camorra links ban

The FIGC Prosecutor will reportedly request lengthy bans for Pepe Reina, Paolo Cannavaro and Salvatore Aronica for associating with the Neapolitan Mafia.
They are accused of having ties to the Camorra, but all insisted they were merely introduced to people associated with the local crime syndicates at parties or sponsorship events, unaware of their identities.
Cannavaro – who has retired from football and is now the assistant manager to his brother Fabio in China at Guangzhou Evergrande – faces a 10-month ban, while Aronica could be out for four months and Reina three.
Cannavaro is in a worse situation because the two Camorra figures reportedly said they used his credit card and were given two match tickets.
Reina is accused of having frequent meetings with the pair, but the goalkeeper – who has left Napoli for Milan – insists he thought they were club sponsors.
Napoli team manager De Matteis could also face a four-month ban.
However, these are merely the reported requests from the Prosecutor and the final verdict from the Disciplinary Commission are not expected to be anywhere close to them.
