So what is it then? Clubs are working with us to concede late now? Fucking moron.
maybe what they should be asking the fans is why celebrate before the final whistle has gone

'Juve always winning late not normal’ | Football Italia

Marek Hamsik’s agent claims “it’s not normal that Juventus win 1-0 in the 90th minute every time” after Napoli lost ground at the top.

Napoli fell to a 4-2 defeat to Roma on Saturday, while Paulo Dybala’s injury-time goal handed Juve victory over Lazio, leaving the Bianconeri another win away from not only matching the Partenopei on games played but also toppling them by two points.

“Bad games can happen,” Martin Petras told Radio Kiss Kiss.

“Roma approached Napoli’s goal four times and scored four goals, but we must remain calm, the road is still long.

“Napoli aren’t giving up, but a defeat after so many victories is what it is. It’s not normal, however, that Juventus win 1-0 in the 90th minute every time.

“Still, we must be calm, the dream is always there. If Napoli keep playing like they know how, it’ll be hard for Inter to beat them.

“The Azzurri won’t give anything up. I hope their great desire can make the difference, compared to a Juventus side that have won for so many years straight.”

'Serie A might give up VAR’ | Football Italia

The head of Italian referees has admitted for the first time that “I don’t know if VAR will be in Serie A next season.”

VAR has yielded mixed results on its top-flight debut in Italy, with the advantages it offers arguably being outweighed by controversial decisions and confusion over when it is consulted.

“I don’t know if VAR will be in Serie A next season, but I think it will be and we’re working so that it can work better,” Marcello Nicchi told Rai Sport.

“Only at the end of its first season in use will we understand where it can be improved.”

Can't fucking believe that Europeans aren't smart enough to use a fucking VAR. Send the refs to watch one NFL match and they should learn it, if they don't then they should be fired.

There should just be a dedicated video ref and he should just tell the ref on the pitch what decision to make

Also an opposing team manager or captain should be allowed 2-3 calls a game for VAR to be mandatory for an incident if they feel there was a foul missed and VAR isn't already reviewing it

^Agreed, each coach should be able to challenge one call in each half, and there should be a dedicated video ref. On-field ref should refer to him when he has to review something.

There may be some issues with VAR so far, such as the questionably selective usage of it we've seen this season, but its the first fucking year of a process that radically changes the game. Have a little patience.

Football absolutely needs a video review system. It is plagued with high profile matches being shifted in one direction from poor refereeing decision in crucial moments. And with it being 2018, and questionable incidents now being replayed from every possible angle to be cut apart by pundits and 3D tech for every viewer to see on their HD television the scrutiny over poor decisions is only increasing dramatically. You can't just call decisions too close to call anymore when the video quality is good enough for everyone to see that they are incorrect. Refs have an impossibly hard job, how about instead of calling every questionable decision they make a scandal lend them a hand and give them a video replay.

Change is inevitable.

At least 5 CL titles would've gone differently if VAR was in use. All of them favored Spanish giants, shocking.

PS in all fairness we wouldn't have the 1985 title as well probably, it wasn't a penalty :D

lol, great attitude. just lay down clear ground rules on when and who checks VAR, make them known for everybody and follow them.

What dumbass Americans don't understand is that football is a fluid and dynamic game, where an action at 02:00 affects the game at 03:30. To compare football with NFL is so stupid; it's beyond me anyone would do that, if they actually follow both sports.

VAR is useable in clear cut situations, but it should never be used on whether or not there was a foul a minute before a goal nor should it in general be used for judgement calls.

VAR must be restricted to game-changing situations: was there contact in the penalty area, was there offside, etc., if allowed in other situations it'll ruin the game.

:agree:

The worst is when a whole sequence can be looked at. Liek our goal disallowed for foul what 50 seconds before the goal. Horrendous job by the ref.
