I think Sarri is a very good coach, could one day prove to be a great one.

But thus far, he's won nothing, and had embarrassing European exits at the hands of Villarreal in Europa Rof32, and Shaktar in CL group stage, and Just as embarrassing exits at the hands of Atalanta and Inter in Coppa QFs.

Those are all teams with far weaker squads and worse players than Napoli. As impressive as what Sarri is doing this year in Serie A is, his failures in cup competitions against far worse teams are just as pathetic.

He’s a good coach, but until he actually wins Serie A he is no better than the likes of Spalletti etc. And let’s not forget, he’s been with them for nearly 3 years and has won ZERO trophies. Even bums like Mazzarri and Benitez won something with Napoli (with much worse overall squads)

Sarri is no better than the likes of Spalletti, Mazzarri and Benitez
Allegri is an incredible tactician

Until Sarri actually wins something, then yes, he is no better than Spalletti, Mazzarri and Benitez. Playing so-called beautiful football is nice and all, but if you don’t come up with silverware, it doesn’t mean a fucking thing.

Do you recall the 2015/16 season? Napoli were above us on the table for the majority of the season, but what happened in the end? A season lasts from August - May and doesn’t finish in February.

Oh, and we are still in 3 competitions. After they “purposefully” get knocked out of the EL in a couple of weeks, they’ll be in 1. Doesn’t look good on his resume that he is so hopeless in cup competitions. Yet he gets a free-ride from posters like you and Nedved96

and of course Napoli won't chase EL or CI, imo we shouldn't play our entire starting 11 in CI either if we're serious about winning Scudetto, that's what it takes when there's a historic battle going on. it doesn't hurt to give your opponent credit once in a while, Napoli are almost matching the pace of Juventus 13/14, it's not possible with a clown coach like Mazzarri or Benitez.
