I was just gonna say this

Everyone is all about our massive dip in form, huge defensive issues and ugly football

Meanwhile, cut the lead down to a point from "the best football in europe".

What happens if Higuain AND Dybala hit form at the same time and the defence stops LMAO'ing about
?
Just watch out if Costa hits his 2015 form in addition to that.

Not out yet, if they win the last 2 games (Shaktar at home and Feyenoord) and City beats Shaktar, they qualify.

It would be good for us if they stay in CL. Their depth gets spread thinner.
Yeah but they're a massive confidence team, especially players like Hamsik. If they do well in the UCL, it'd be infectious in everything they do. if they go out early, their heads will go down and they'll start whining that the football world is in a conspiracy to ensure Crapoli don't succeed.

Roma look like stronger contenders than Napoli imo. Ghoulam's injury will really $#@! Napoli's season and Roma look mentally tough this season.
Its unbelievable that a comment about commending Roma's strong mentality is true, but it is. EDF really changed this team it seems. Classic Roma would have been smashed in london and then lost again to Chelsea in Rome. They rotate as much as we do and still get results. This is key imo. Their squad depth has been fully utilized and even Gerson performs.

The only problem they have so far is a dependence on Dzeko. Until Schick comes back and gets in shape they have no proper sub for him.

Maybe the most amazing thing is that a CB as bad as Juan Jesus can actually look fine in this system. With Manolas back the defense is even more solid. Kolarov is bound to slow down but now Emerson came back to full training. Karsdorp injury is a big hit but Florenzi can always keep covering RB with Peres.

Their depth looks better than Napoli's even if their game is not as refined.

Schick: ‘I’ll join an even bigger club’
By Football Italia staff

Patrik Schick admits he wants to join “an even bigger club” than Roma one day, and confirms he was “angry” with Juventus.

The Czech striker was all-set to join the Bianconeri from Sampdoria this summer, but failed his medical due to a heart inflammation and eventually joined the capital club instead.

“It was a really unexpected and good feeling,” Schick told Reporter Magazin in his homeland.

“The season ended and I could choose, the offers I liked most came from Rome, Milan and Turin. Finally I decided on Juventus, not least because I was called by [Vice-President] Pavel Nedved and it all sounded so exciting.

“I was looking forward to it, and frankly in June I felt like a Juventus player, but I wasn’t…

“I knew it was nothing serious, just some inflammation that would pass soon. I was fine, and I knew there was enough time to rest and everything would be normal, but Juventus delayed my transfer.

“When I came back from my holiday, Mr [Pavel] Paska [Schick’s agent] said we had to go to Turin for another medical.

“I told him I wasn’t going anywhere, that it was already getting on my nerves and I’m not flying to Turin, it would be useless.

“It didn’t matter to me anymore, I was a little bit angry. The deliberations were unnecessary, and in the middle of July my €25m release clause ceased to apply.

“So as far as I was concerned the President of Sampdoria [Massimo Ferrero] could name his price and put my value as high as possible. That’s what he did, he eventually got it up to €40m, a billion koruna.

“When I signed I felt great relief that I could finally concentrate only on my football.

“I’m definitely calmer than I was in Genoa, because when I came to Italy I was no-one but now all my friends know me.

“The defender, Aleksandar Kolarov, took me aside and confirmed what I had been thinking. He told me: ‘don’t worry, by the middle of October you’ll surely be on the way up, just stay calm and it’ll all be good’.

“When I first saw the training ground I knew I could get the best out of myself here.

“I don’t have to worry about anything, the pitches are perfect, the gym, the nutritional consultants make the recipes, weigh the fats, tell us what to eat. There are so many staff just for us!

“Money? I take it as motivation, and I hope that in a few years I can move to an even bigger club where logically I’ll be paid even more - that motivation has always helped me a lot.

“It’s not really possible to move much higher [than Roma] but there are a few clubs… let’s say Real Madrid, Barcelona or Manchester United.”

Typical interview to your local journalist, did he really think it won't make it's way to Italy? :D

yeah, doesn't leave a very bright impression. lets see how he develops, personally think he made a great choice to go play for di Francesco, guy is fair with youngsters and Schick shouldn't receive the Gabigol treatment unless he really deserves it

Hamsik: 'Chievo played for 0-0’
By Football Italia staff

Marek Hamsik believes Chievo “only played for the draw”, against a Napoli side who were tired after Manchester City.

The Partenopei dropped points for only the second time this season when they were held to a goalless draw by the Flying Donkeys on Sunday, with Juventus moving to just a point behind them.

“I’m certainly not satisfied, but we did everything we could to win,” Hamsik told reporters at Slovakia’s training camp.

They only played for the draw, but these games can happen during the season and we’re on a run of 24 unbeaten matches.

“There should be satisfaction at Napoli because we’ve been in the top three in Serie A for the past three years, and everything is very well balanced.

“We’ve had a great start and we need to continue this way, you can stumble now and then, it happens.

“As for Manchester City, they’re one of the best teams in Europe against whom it’s hard to get points, even if I think it could have been a different result in the home game.

“You can’t give chances to opponents like that, but we played good football. That game cost us a lot of physical and mental energy, as you saw against Chievo.”

Marek you lost against City less then a week ago, get it together

This reminds me of when we signed Isla. Stupid mofo didn't play a single minute for Juve at the time, he was already talking about Real Madrid.

Schick: 'Happy at Roma’
By Football Italia staff

Patrik Schick insists he is 'happy at Roma’ after receiving criticism for an interview he gave.

The Czech forward only joined the Giallorossi from Sampdoria in the summer but was quoted today as saying he is aiming to join 'an even bigger club.’

It is reported that Stadio Olimpico sporting director Monchi has already spoken to the 21-year-old about the interview, with Coach Eusebio Di Francesco set to follow suit.

However, Schick has taken to social media to pledge his full focus and commitment to his current club.

“I am proud and happy to be here,” he wrote on his official Facebook page. “I have never thought about leaving.

“I am doing everything I can now to get back out on the pitch.

“I have my mind on one thing only – giving my best for Roma. Forza Roma always!”

Schick has made just one appearance for his new club so far this season due to injury
