Are you kidding me? they have to replace their all vital starting players except Dzeko and Nainggolan, their 3421 formation was the key factor in their success in the last part of the season
If Manolas remains, they won't need to replace anyone in defense considering Rudiger played RB for them and they already bought Karsdorp for RB and Moreno for CB depth.

They sold Paredes who is a bench player for them and replaced him with Pellegrini and Gonalons.

They only have to replace Salah really. Reports linking them to Suso now.

Paredes to Zenit is official. €23M + €4M in bonuses.

So far Roma earned €115M (including bonuses) by selling Salah, Rudiger and Paredes.
Ahh, so the price changed? they were talking like it would be 70m for both paredes and Manolas, so assumed 30m for the argie and 40m for the crazy disgusting greek (I really wonder how his first pre-season training with Dzeko will go lol).

What a weird chart. I mean it doesn't even show how much we hate Milan and how do they even calculate this shit? I'd say after the higgy saga 74% of nipple fans hating on us seems a load of nonsense.

Hating us the most*

Meaning that someone that hates Milan the most could still hate Juve. The graph only shows the 2 most important percentages and is related only to those 5 clubs

They have sold 1 starter in Salah, Szczney was a LOANED PLAYER, they did not sell him. They decided to bank on their younger and quite talented goalie Alisson to be starter now, makes sense.

Rudiger was BACKUP and ROTATIONAL player, good explosive defensive talent, but not a starter. The CB starter besides Manolas was Fazio, thats why you saw Rudiger as RB alot to give him playing time (when both RBs were injured). They litterally signed 2 backup players to essentially replace Rudigers versatility basically, in Moreno and Karsdrop.

Paredes was 100 procent backup, and again I repeat, I seen both players enough, Paredes is more of a nifty passer, but Pellegrini, his direct replacement is better then him IMO. So whats the loss in getting a better player who costs a mere 1/3rd of what they got for Paredes?
It's Rus dude. Why deploy logic when you can just show stats? As if ratings mean shit. A player can suit up for 10 games and look awesome in 7, thus inflating the ratings, all while looking shit for the rest of the season.

Oh shit. I just noticed he's banned again :howler:  That didn't last long :baus:

If Roma dont invest the money they got from the sales, all these financially astute moves will have been for the benefit of Pallotta not Roma. They lose a lot of stability changing their coach, so many players, Totti, leader of the locker room and club symbol, included.

Osman said everything in that post actually.

And losing Totti means only that they are getting stronger. He was no Del Piero. He was an asshole and cried for minutes which only held them back if anything.

:agree: Letting Totti go is probably going to be their best move this mercato.

I was never in that locker room or training ground, but Im willing to bet that a player like Totti, captain of Roma for decades, had a huge influence there, even if he was a part time player on the pitch, Im sure he was a leader off it. Stability is a good thing and atm Roma have none, they're in year 0.

Totti created unnecessary pressure and drama just for being Totti, and his ego couldn't adjust to his body not keeping up. Spalletti 100 procent left because the ungrateful fans didn't care about the historical pts haul, but weekly attacking him for not given a finished Totti more then 5 minutes.

I'm sure he was influential positive guy for his teammates simply for being walking historical figure in Roma. But you can't underestimate how much he added to the destructive pressure and drama that's prevalent in that club.

Di Francesco should be ecstatic he doesn't have to deal with that.

Spalletti shot himself in the foot with the way he handled Totti, it was neither Totti's fault or supporters fault
