One could argue scoring 4 goals for Sass against Milan isn't way worse than scoring as sub for Juventus against a 10 man Porto (the powerhouse of european football)

However, I agree that Berardi has been shite in CL games, whenever i watched him play he was nowhere to be seen.

He knows where to run, and how to capitalise on poor defending. He has a decent shot.

Please name the biggest game in which he played good.

Shitty milan(2) and fiorentina

Pjaca's best games were Porto in CL knockouts and Spain deciding group stage

I know what team i'd rather faced.
Again I wasn't comparing Berardi to Pjaca. I think Pjaca is potentially great too but don't see what it has to do with Berardi's ability.

Sadly we've only seen Berardi excel in Serie A and Azzurini thus far. If it wasn't for the long term injury it would have been great to see how he'd have done in Europe.

Anyways we'll see in couple of years if he's found a way to score without the help of poor defending and penalties :D

Thats the sad part, im sure Sassuolo would qualify from their group with Berardi fit, coming off of a great run of form at the beginning of the season. Once qualified, who knows how far they could have gone with a favorable draw.

4 seasons of excelling in Serie A with consistent assisting and scoring, is trumped by 2 sub appearances, one in Euro and one in CL? Because logic?

Yeah you gonna dig your own grave of BS with this one.

When Berardi was 18 and upcomming i had high hopes. But he didnt improve in 4 years time and is still mostly scoring penalty's or capitalises on poor defending.
His consistent goal scoring for someone that age for seasons is dismissed for taking advance of poor defending. But same time, the guy you saying is better then him, litterally only goal in top level is being assisted by opposition defence inside the box with nice pass, logic says wut? Wuuuut.

I'll ask again. What did Berardi improve since his first serie a season, how did his consistancy evolved, why didnt he feature for the worst italian offensive generation yet, and what was the biggest game he excelled in ?

Berardi will not improve @Osman . This is him. This will always be him.

Pjaca will improve significantly and will be a starter and a star for juventus if we can keep him.

Feel free to save this quote and slap me it if i'm wrong in the future.

103 games played in Serie and (and few Azzurrini), 41 goals 30 assists. The main best player for his team since he was 18.

Sugar coat it as much as you like, those are facts. Say he hasn't improved or set your own bizzare or tailored conditions to dismiss him, but Pjaca who I like alot, has literally achieved or shown nothing in comparison. It's actually quite the gamble we spent 26m on him without him showing nothing more then some good talent level, so why the heck is it being argued he is better then someone who has clearly shown more?

Berardi has two flaws, injured pretty much all season, and unlike Pjaca he turned down the opportunity to come play for us. If that changes you would notice his decisive end product up close and be raving about it.

I have supported him staying at Sassuolo various times @Osman and you know it cause everyone was like" bring him here now" and i said, No, he's inconsistant as fuck and raw, he needs to develop he wouldnt play here".

I got fed up with his lack of progress, yeah also coupled with him rejecting from his side + beeing an inter fan(people make mistakes as a kid, Bonucci was one too).

WHen he was turing 19, i was expecting alot and highly anticipating. 3 years later, its still the same.

Why do we rate Berardi ? In 4 years time, his technique, vision, passing, athleticism, improved nothing at all. He's still incredibly inconsistant.

This is juventus. What can he offer ? He's fast but thats it. His technique is decent and his dribbeling is modest. He wont break open the game against amazing sides with brilliant dribbels. He doesnt have remarcable vision or passing or shooting.
In 8 years time, he's still the same player just more matured. He'll still score the same goals in serie a. He'll be the new Candreva. Candrava, is an Inter player and suits well there.

Pjaca, unlike Berardi, has great technique and remarcable good dribbeling. He has great vision in where the run when and he'll only develop from this point on. He showed against spain what potential he has. He came in against Porto made a fine run (Dybala should have send the pass through where he was without needing a deflection cause he wanted to pass to licht), and he scored an exquisite finish

In a few years time (or faster) , Pjaca will be a horrible player to play against, turning defences inside out and having a proven technical good shot

Berardi started at a good level aged 18, and wont improve

Pjaca was not as good when he was the same age, but he'll become a vastly superior player to what Berardi will ever be.
Finally. About time we stop this romantic, ridicolous , and delusional hype for this player. He is good, but nothing more. Lets Get Real and bring in elite players

I agree with Zach that berardi hasnt improved and yes he does not striker me as someone who will improve a lot but he is already at a pretty good level and has been for a while. Pjaca has not reached that level of productivity yet at all and is certainly less developed as a player. He offers something different as Zach points out but in doing so he does not offer what berrardi offers either which is a lot for a kid his age.

As for not being selected for Italy, Insigne warmed the bench for much inferior players because he didnt fit conte's plans despite having the season of his life. I wouldnt take that as a metric for comparing the two players.
