We were interested, almost signed him at the end of 2013 mercato when we sold Matri and Giacch for a combined 20M, no idea why we didn't try again in January (or maybe we did but he preferred Roma)

My opinion is that he choose Roma understanding that we are not interested in him.For me that it's the only reasonable explain ,since, as I posted ,we have that super mid players and Cagliari is our friendly club which will sell him to us more happily then to Roma ....

We tried to get him multiple times, but Cellino is kinda crazy, and Naingollian probably didn't like us even back then (tweeted some anti-Juve stuff at Cagliari already), plus we couldn't offer him a starting spot, Cagliari could.

I was kinda pissed when he went to Roma instead of us btw, it was clear that he's a really good player. Same with Allan, though he's turned out not quite as good.
