They won't get him. Would cost Monchi 5m to get out of his contract. Man U and Real were interested.

Actually Roma is a horrible place for a coach, player or a sporting director. They don't have the value, their fans are the worst and they have a clueless president. No clubs in serie A can match our board when it comes to planning, patience and passion. We can see Sasuolo is having some idea, i think Udinese too , no coincident they are the other two clubs that own their stadium and have a close relationship with Juventus. Sabatini leaving is just exposing how bad the club is run .

You have a point, he touches up on the fans bit a little, and besides Pjanic part, its most telling how he says how the management works is primary reason of him leaving, their american stats obbsessed decision making:

Sabatini held a Press conference on Friday to announce the reasons behind the mutual termination of his Roma contract, and he appeared to accuse the Giallorossi of lacking ambition by allowing Juventus to activate Pjanic’s release clause and letting Lamela depart three years ago.

“Sometimes I was defined as cocky. I recently lost a player who’s now doing very well, he’s one of the reasons that I’ve left,” he said.

“I feel bad for this player, do some research and you’ll know who I mean. This incident was decisive and made me realise that I could no longer be the sporting director of Roma.

“It wasn’t easy to sell some players, especially Lamela. That deal killed me.

“I wanted to buy him to send a strong signal to all the other clubs, he wasn’t easy to buy, but we signed a magnificent player.

“Selling him was a huge pain, but this also applies to others. Suggestions for the mercato always came in, but I never listen. Perhaps only once in 20 years.

“Nainggolan requested a new contract and the club are considering it. They’re negotiating, but nothing has been confirmed yet.

“The players have to realise that we missed out on the Champions League, it’s at the detriment of everyone so different assessments must be made.

“The contracts will eventually be reviewed by Baldissoni, but they’re not our priority. Now we need focus on the pitch, we want to do important things.

“Back to me, I left Roma because they changed some footballing rules. I want to play my football, but I found it hard to adapt myself to the new criteria.

“The President, with his associates, rightly point out other statistical points, while I live by instinct and imagination.

“The numbers can help, but sometimes they betray you. I believe in what I see when I notice a footballer.

“I don’t want to fight for different ideas. I’ve always had my idea of football and I don’t intend to change. At the moment, the club are working on something else.

“Sometimes I wake up during the night and think that some of the players you can sign, sometimes you sign them accidentally. And I think about poor Piris, who honestly wasn’t Roma quality.

“I don’t understand why the fans can’t become attached to Perotti, Salah or Dzeko, despite their criticism.

“Many players are strong, so perhaps [the fans] will grow exceedingly fond of Bruno Peres. I care about my players, I don’t see why the fans can’t.”

Roma and their fans create madness, they'll never have any sustained success, just an odd season here or there where it comes together. When things go wrong they turn and there is no stability to keep things together, it's a poisonous atmosphere. Napoli was like that for a long time and still is in patches, but ADL mostly holds it together. What he can't control is the desperate madness of the fans.

I would add Napoli to this list. Most people will think wtf Napoli? Yes.

- 8 years straight profit means a really good financial house after their bankruptcy
- Has an eye for young talent & good players
- 'loyal' fans, not (anymore) like the fans from Roma and Lazio who protest against every fucking little change in the rules, a choice from the president or a loss
- Several years plans for a new stadium, but the council won't accept the offers.

The only thing is that ADL is a big big cocksucker.

True. Don't forget Napoli is one of the few clubs in Italy who gain profit every single year. It sounds sad, but it is the truth. Most of Italian clubs makes their debts only bigger instead of reducing it.

Sampdoria did a great job this year. Sold for around 62 million and bought for 34.

I don't care about Napoli, it's a shame for Milik. Good player starting out his career in top football exceptionally well and sidelined long period can fuck it all for him.

Now we get to see if Gabbiadini is any good.

Or he will stink it up and Sarri will play Mertens as false 9.
